A few video's of girls being circumcised in Somalia were posted to twitter a few weeks ago. They were brutal, but they got huge metrics and generated immense awareness.
Right now, I'm downloading male infant circumcision videos off Youtube and seeing if I can expose the reality through this same avenue.

I hear you. Watching a video is almost a necessary element of the education process though for many individuals to understand it is genital torture and mutilation.

This "procedure" is violently robbing a child of specialized sexual structures, sexual function and autonomy over their body.

Virtually all men who are left intact as children do not choose to get a penile modification surgery as an adult.

If there is any reduction in STD's, it is due to the fact that a majority of the highly erogenous genital membrane tissue has been ablated from the penis and the remaining membrane tissue has developed layers of keratin. That is a profound loss and one that can only be weighed as adult. However, I personally think it is wild that a man would ever do that voluntarily without dire medical need like gangrene. Everything should be done to preserve this important tissue.

Lastly, any claim for STD reduction rates is still quite hotly contested. When you hear something like the often touted 60% reduction in HIV transmission, that is the relative risk. The real metrics tell a much different story. In this study, 1.2% of cut men acquired HIV vs 2% for intact men. Therefore, the absolute risk reduction is only .8 of a percent. In addition, only the men that had been cut were given condoms...

@Delta, we’re not agreement at all. Even if there was a 100% reduction in all STD transmission rates, it is outright satanic to excise a child’s genital structures for anything other than dire medical need such as necrosis or gangrene.

I’m not sure where you are coming from in thinking that it is permissible to violently mutilate a boy’s penis. I’d like to see this practice criminalized, and I’m actively working toward that goal.

@Delta, this is not a minimal harm. Entire genital structures like the prepuce, ridged band and frenulum are fully or partially excised in neonatal circ. That is a profound harm. What you’ve been lead to believe is just “a little snip” is just not accurate.

@Delta, the frenulum and ridged band are really there explicitly for specialized erotic sensations. The prepuce is also highly erogenous but it has other functions. It covers the glans keeping it “moist” and in the proper environment for membrane tissue. The penis should be an internal organ most of the time. Think about if your tongue was exposed to the air for a long period of time. The prepuce can also move up and down the glans and shaft and that is the primary way the penis is supposed to be stimulated.

For anyone that hasn't already seen the speech "Sex and Circumcision", it is a must watch if you're interested in learning more about the history/harms of ritual and routine circumcision. The speaker is Eric Clopper, a Jewish man who was previously employed by Harvard. They fired him after giving he gave the speech despite the fact that they permitted him to conduct it in their own presentation hall.

Interesting article above talks about parents choosing different “types” of circumcisions for their infant sons. Loose vs Tight. Really some wildly perverse and disturbing stuff here.

None of this highly erogenous and functional tissue should be getting amputated from an infants penis!

The reality of the situation feels quite dystopian. Parents are choosing different types/levels of invasiveness for their sons mutilation and then the excised tissue is oftentimes sold to the highest bidder to be used in therapeutics.

The video I shared above is a recent interview I did where I discuss the physical and psychological trauma I’ve experienced from being circumcised as an infant. A chick from the Nordic region also delivers testimony on how her sex life was impacted by her partner being cut.

@jiggu badmash, circumcision removes erotic tissue/structures from the penis. It certainly impacts sensory feedback. I’m not really sure what you mean by “sex life” though.
