Its been a couple years but I got pretty good at throwing those fuckers

at one store I went to, the salesman would always order way too much

and it would piss off the merchandiser (the guy who stocks the shelves, attaches price tags)

only the merchandiser couldnt refuse product

but if it was broken it couldnt be delivered

and thus the pabst space program was born

the store had a huge empty lot right next to it so we'd take a few cans out of the case (case being 4, six packs) and YEET those fuckers as high as we could throw them

oh no! Stupid night crew truck loaders broke another case!

I hated that job but I miss it sometimes for reasons like that

the company was so shitty and desperate you could get away with pretty much anything if you were a driver

I got beer truck stories for days

pabst 16 ounce cans come in cases of 4 six packs per case in a flimsy ass cardboard shell that is about 1/3 the height of the cans

they would always blow out

they didnt stack right

the stacks were wobbly as fuck

this shit would get delivered on hand carts and pabst 16s _had_ to go on the top of the stack or it might collapse it

and some stores would get 20+ cases of this shit

and 12 packs of the 16 ouncers came 2 to a case

and typically a 2/12 as we called them, would also be contained within a cardboard shell, but not these fuckers

the only pabst that didnt suck delivering was the bottles (4 six packs per case) which came in a nice cardboard box like everything else

even the kegs of pabst were a slightly different size

so fuck you and your pabst

whoever had to deliver that probably hated it

and holy shit people would sometimes do that

the first _ever_ switchback variety packs were picked up by me from the brewery

and the first 10 cases of them delivered were out of the trunk of my car

and when I was picking up those switch variety packs they were really excited and were taking pictures of the inside of the trailer

took pictures of the staff in the trailer

wanted to get a video of the truck rolling out with them

they had a switchback trailer, too!

best part though was I was asking if I could get a t shirt or something

forklift guy came back and said he couldnt give me a shirt, but he could give me beer

got a 12 pack of the big bottles for free
