well really, we had to have started from one couple, but most likely not in the biblical sense

it wouldnt make sense to expect all of our distant ancestors to have evolved at the same time/rate

but the start of the basic human gene line would have been started by 2, which would have spread throughout communities, causing the adaptive pressure do to the new "humans" being better adapted for hunting and such

causing the others to be weaker

but if you are talking about the creation of a new gene line there was a point where one couple went off more than others creating the beginning the new line of what we call humans

one couple would have gone farther off the path than the other 49, causing the line that we speak of

but youre saying that there would not be a point in which a couple would have the biggest jump? Lets say A & Z are the strongest genes. A coupling with b or c would be simpler, same with Z being with X or Y. but when A couples with Z (two strongest) they would have a bigger jump than any other couple

causing their offspring too be much stronger, therefore more likely to survive, outcompete, and reproduce
