Boy that's your opinion I've tried it too and it's pretty hard to tell the difference.

2020-03-28 15:24:10 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Again the president's approval rating always goes up in a time of crisis

2020-03-29 14:18:59 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Obviously he was slow to respond to the outbreak but I don't know how much better any other president could do because we are slow to respond to any kind of problem because of the way our democracy is set up.

2020-03-29 16:03:43 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

well some people were mad about the first bill because they were trying to give unnecessary bailouts for some industries

2020-04-02 13:39:40 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I don't exactly understand what you are trying to tell us with that video

If we aren't willing to give up some of our creature comforts then will will continue to live on a dying planet.

I'm not saying we have to revert back to caveman days but we might have to sacrifice some things in order to assure future generations that they will have something of a habitable planet to live on.

Actually cities will play a big part in solving our climate issues

@Pelth You really think people are not having kids because they're afraid of a warmer environment for their children? You don't think a more logical reason why people are having less children is because they're afraid of their kids living in a toxic and polluted environment?

Then why did you say that

The reason you *think* that is because in India pollution levels are so high that it is easily visible. You might not be able to see it but high carbon levels are present in pretty much every densely-populated area of the world.

I was talking about air pollution

Yes and those areas that are bad effect the entire world as a whole

Yeah, the carbon gets absorbed into our oceans which rises the acidity of the ocean making it impossible for shellfish to grow.

Which creates a domino affect that hurts almost every species of sea creature

The carbon volcanoes pump out is nothing compared to the damage we are doing right now.

Think about the volcano eruptions that have happened in the last year VS how many times A coal power plant has come online in china.

Also volcano eruptions happen in sparse areas where it is easy to run away from. Cities are everywhere unless you want to live in Antarctica

Yeah life "adapted" because the changes happened over thousands of years. We have done the same amount of damage in 50 years.

So we should just demolish every city in the world?

CIties again help with the climate issue because it is much easier to fuel, transport, grow, and maintain humans and human goods when they are all close together.

I'm not saying you should move to the city, I'm saying we don't necessarily need to get rid of them in order to survive. Yes overpopulation is an issue and it is putting a massive strain on earth's resources but sadly it is very hard to tell people they can't have more than one child so overpopulation is a very complicated issue, especially with medical technology advancing year after year.

Problem solved

"The COVID-19 pandemic has caused Google to rethink our responsibility in another global crisis, and today we are immediately ending our funding of all climate change-denying organizations."

Also I saw this in the climate news channel.

It's just nice to see a big company trying to prevent the spread of misinformation.

Well according to google they did this in light of covid-19 so I don't think they're trying to "distract" us from the real issues.

"Over the past few weeks, the world has come to a halt, our healthcare systems have been overwhelmed, and countless people are experiencing food and housing insecurity. This crisis has caused Google to reflect on how critical it is to respond to another global emergency: climate change."

This is another snippet from the post

Cringe? It's cringe to stop the spread of bullshit skeptics?

"Today, we would like to announce a small step in that direction: we will stop our funding of organizations that deny or work to block action on climate change, effective immediately."

They are simply stopping any funding of organizations that deny climate change. It's a small step in the right direction that is so trivial that it doesn't have the ability to distract us from the real issues even if that was google's intent.

It's a complicated issue regarding our freedom of speech and freedom of the press.

At the same time you don't want news outlets trying to prove that smoking doesn't cause cancer or something along those lines.

I'm not going to sit here and say news outlets can't say that climate change isn't a hoax, but at the same time I want the people reading those articles to get both sides of the story so they can make an informed decision with as little political bias getting in the way as possible.

2020-04-08 02:27:13 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

you cant repeat it and expect him to actually understand

2020-04-08 02:27:28 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

their minds are impenetrable

2020-04-08 02:27:39 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

you can't teach them anything

Well we have two big problems on our hands

covid-19 and climate change

if it wasn't for republicans we could start working on solving both of those issues

Well I shouldn't say all republicans

just the ones that stick to republican policy like glue

2020-04-08 15:13:11 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

He is a reverse billionaire

2020-04-08 15:13:22 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

He has lost a billion dollars in the span of a year

Instead of playing the blame game we should be solving the issue

Also republicans arenโ€™t the only ones to blame, governors republican and Democrat could have done more drastic measures in their states without federal approval.

They didnโ€™t because they didnโ€™t want to cause panic

The blame game continues. There is no one party or person to blame for this pandemic. This was a result of many faults caused by many people.

Instead of wasting your breath on blaming the democrats how about we spend our time on discussing possible solutions

2020-04-08 18:33:25 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

@sษชแด…ษชsษดแดแด›สœแด‡ส€แด‡ I would say that is true but I havenโ€™t seen many problems he has actually โ€œfixedโ€.

2020-04-08 18:35:44 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Itโ€™s pretty difficult to fix tough issues in one term

2020-04-08 18:36:03 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Besides China I donโ€™t see much

2020-04-08 18:36:31 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Well tell me what he has fixed

2020-04-08 18:38:19 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Lmao

2020-04-08 18:39:02 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Well he is tough on China and I give him credit for that.

2020-04-08 18:40:28 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Letโ€™s talk about the problems he is ignoring

2020-04-08 19:31:26 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Conservatives draw conclusions based on no data why are you even asking

I believe it was the republicans that were trying to downplay the situation from the begining to try and stop the market from crashing too badly but you can think what you want to think

Trump outright denied the sevarity of the situation at the beginning

When there were infected people on that cruise ship he said that this whole thing wasn't a big deal

Also climate change has been a low priority ever since Mr. I Don't Believe In Science took office

2020-04-09 02:54:51 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

except for literally every trump supporter. I'm still waiting for you guys to say one bad thing about him by the way. prove me wrong please.

2020-04-09 03:03:29 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

If you are willing to admit that trump has many flaws then you probably aren't supporting him. I don't like democrats or republicans because I'm an independent, I just happen to side more with liberal policies than conservative policies.

2020-04-09 03:06:39 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I will never defend a politician out of loyalty though that is objectively wrong.

2020-04-09 03:07:47 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Joe biden is an awful candidate.

2020-04-09 03:08:23 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I have no idea who is better. In terms of policy i side more with joe biden but its hard to vote for someone in cognative decline

2020-04-09 03:08:44 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

There has to be a better democrat out there that can beat trump

2020-04-09 03:08:56 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

i would take anyone besides trump or joe at this point

2020-04-09 03:11:28 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

It must be a law that anyone who isn't insane cannot win the election.

2020-04-09 03:12:04 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

true

2020-04-09 03:13:43 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I think that trump voters have such a loud voice it helps him win over people. Anyone who is going to vote for biden this year is only going to vote for him because they don't like trump and not because they genuinely support biden. In contrast trump supporters are constantly talking about him, flying flags, buying bumper stickers, and wearing maga hats.

2020-04-10 02:33:26 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

This is effective.

2020-04-10 02:33:37 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Screaming trump 2020 is definetly effective.

2020-04-10 02:34:03 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Keep going, trump is going to slaughter biden anyways.

2020-04-10 02:39:27 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

America is truly doomed. Like all countries that rise to dominance, america will fall. We are witnessing such a thing right before our eyes.

2020-04-10 02:43:05 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

China is about to become the economic powerhouse of the world and in the next 20 years we could be the ones bowing down to china.

2020-04-10 02:44:31 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

I mean implying that the coronavirus pandemic will last another 20 years is kind of dumb but then again you probably didn't read my entire sentence.

2020-04-10 02:50:34 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

You just said we will be bowing down to a country foull of rotten decayed corona patients. plus the coronavirus has a much better chance of wiping out americas population than it does chinas population

2020-04-10 02:57:21 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

mhm

2020-04-10 14:04:49 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

You are spot on.

2020-04-10 14:04:55 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Amen.

Excuse me what.

Would you like me to link you to the predictions scientists made 20 years ago that have been almost spot on?

If you are trying to outright deny the existence of climate change then I would look at the other 70 percent of the population's point of view for a minute.

Well explain you claim then.

The people you are talking about showed a graph of the yearly temperature records that show an 18-year period where it *looked* like the earth was cooling.

Yes they are idiots.

No one believes them, its pure manipulation.

2020-04-10 14:21:51 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

^^^This is the same guy that will tell you dems are communists^^^

Where are you getting this information?

If you looked at any scientific source you would think otherwise. The greenhouse affect is real and we have known about it for more than 40 years.

If you are talking about the computer model predictions being off then yes but I haven't heard a ton about it because you can't exactly learn any truth about climate change when you look at it from a political perspective.

I don't understand why you are drawing conclusions based on one source. It's impossible to hear every bit of news that comes out.

2020-04-10 14:33:11 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

Pretty much.

2020-04-10 14:33:33 UTC [NEWS and POLITICS #trump]

No offense btw, i was just using your comment as an example.

You can find an article online that can try to prove anything you think of. Just because there are a handful of sources that say climate change is not an emergency doesn't mean that is the truth.

Not only that but the credibility of that source is also important, learning how to sift through the bullshit is a very important skill on the internet where anyone can say just about anything.

Just because a few people predicted something wrong doesn't mean that everything we have learned about climate change is false.

You are only talking about the temperature of the earth, what about the air quality? Do you want to live in a smoke-filled enviornment that is dangerous to your heath because it is good for the economy?
