Thatโs awesome ! Iโve got fam near Muscatine
Every American has the right to quality body armor, gear, and medical equipment.. lets get this convo started and get guys squared away
I would highly advise against steel plates honestly. Composite or ceramic is the way to go.. no chance of spalling and lighter .. yes more money however you can get a rig and save money for quality plates that will save your life. That being said I have seen AR500โs new coating that stops spalling and I am a little impressed but after the coating they are about the same price as Ceramic or composite plates
Yeah bens a young buck
There is not a lot of info on these as to what they stop (on the link) if 5.56 is the only threat you may face these may not be terrible. But my I ask what about 7.62, 308, or any number of many other calibers that are becoming more popular. Iโm not saying these are an absolute no go but what threats are you willing to expect
My bad I sent the wrong ones I thought it was weird they were almost all pistol calibers

Definitely looks more and more like revelations as time goes on
Iโve been working a lot of mechanical drills
I have not but that would be interesting to see

@kilowatt cocktail I run a ferro plate carrier Iโm still playing around with wether or not I want to carry a โcombat loadโ (210 Rounds)
But I agree with style, preference, mission and roll. But the modularity is really appealing
Thatโs smart with the buddy mag Iโm debating getting a back Panel that can hold 3 mags
Yeah itโs all ideas Iโve been playing with
Ideally In a fire fight you would have others with you and possibly other elements. Working with a squad and utilizing talking guns to suppress the enemy and conserve ammo but thatโs getting into tactics and such
Dedicated support elements would be a great tool and if you could pull something together with former SF I would be okay with tracking for it
Whoโs EDC has a TQ if so how do you carry it ?
Rifle: aero
Optic: eotech
Sling: edger Sherman design or ferro concepts
Light: mod light
Thatโs my personal opinion but all are great quality and will last a long time
Yeah a little pricey once all said and done there are cheaper optics and slings out there but pieces together and spaced out over a couple months, not bad better than buying 5 400-700 dollar guns Iโve the same amount of time and crab I did the same thing I had 3 or 4 rifles before my first ar.
Think about where you live and where you would employ a 308. If you live somewhere you can push the 308 round to its limits and capitalize on that rounds potential maybe it would be a good idea. Defined rolls are always an asset to any team or group. But if you live somewhere more populated or where you donโt have long sight lines I would stay clear of an AR10 and go with an AR15
That should be a crime
Even the grey cannon has a place in our culture and community even if itโs purely for the memes
Yeet cannon **
That sounds like a great idea !
Thatโs awesome Levi
Do you have to have a head set for that ?
I just read that this morning ! Lots to think about
That is an interesting concept
I think Sunday night might work best for me
I have an a2 and it does itโs job but Iโve heard really good things about surefire.
Iโd pull the trigger on it (no pun intended) Iโm getting a SF muzzle device and filing for a suppresser right before my deployment

Cedar Rapids ?
Same in CR
I have a bunch of stuff from the medic in my unit but I also have a trex arms ITRAK I think itโs called
They partnered with North American rescues
No idea
Okay
Thatโs a really smart idea
On the medical side itโs all part of being a prepared and responsible citizen
