I dunno, I used my 8" schmidt cassegrain telescope yesterday to peer up at the ISS :/ if its fake I dunno what I looked at.
Can you help me figure it out? What could it have been.
I was told to believe what I see, and I saw something up there that looks like the ISS from descriptions.
I want to believe it isnt a man made something up there, but it looks like it.
Guys really I came here for help. What did I see up there?
How is it a scam if I saw it? Is it just a junk thing floating up there? Howd it get past the dome?
Isnt a selenelion just the atmosphere refraction across our dome?
For a few minutes you can see both on the horizon.
Wouldn't a glober just say the same thing minus the dome part?
So, again with my question, I had a telescope (powerfulish, 8" schmidt cassegrain) and actually saw what they claim is the ISS. Question is what did I actually see?
I saw a light? I could make out details. Looked like a big satellite? Howd it get past the dome if it was man made, and what is it if it isnt?
Metal color, H shape is actually pretty spot on.
A hologram? How? It was too high up. I've glimpsed planes in my scope before.
I've never seen planes that high, and what is a hologram doing up there?
Why would I expect answers from them? What makes you think it's a hologram if they dont provide answers?
Okay so I'm ok with it being hologram tech but I need to know how it got so high up? I see even high altitude planes fill up my scope as they fly by and only catch glimpses. This thing I could track and was way higher up. Could they get it outside the dome?
It's a telescope not a finder scope. Normally planes take up more than my aperture allows, even the highest altitude ones. This ISS hologram was about 20% of my view area.
Depends on how far away it is I guess I mean stars are dots no matter what. Jupiter is about the same size but it's also much further away

ISS was about the size of jupiter
Jupiter moves supppper slowly compared to the iss holo though
I can keep my telescope locked onto jupes for about a minute. The iss thing I had to slowly track.
It's possible, but I've never seen an aircraft move so slowly.
I saw what I thought was the ISS through a telescope but it's too small in my aperture to be a plane and moves too slowly.
A balloon? Wasnt it a hologram disguised as a plane?
Well how is it a balloon? Is it above the dome?
Well it moves slowly like the stars and other planets beyond the dome. Is that a bad inference?
Okay so it's a balloon tethered to what?
I'm really trying to follow here but occams razor is telling me it's probably a satellite.
I mean if i attached a camera to my scope I could post a picture... but I feel like you guys would just say it's fake: /
I dunno, I saw something with my own observations and all you guys have told me is far fetched explanations when it just being a satellite is the easiest fit.
I've observed the supposed ISS with my own telescope @Flat earth BEAST
I'm still being open minded
I can prove its real... I can take a picture. Pictures are admissible as evidence in court, why not here?
My own observations.
Wellz I'd have to wait for the ISS to pass overhead again. Howd I look that up?
Burden of proof is on the accuser btw.
Wait what? In court if someone presents evidence (no matter what it is) and someone claims it's not true, the burden of proof is on the accuser claiming it isnt true.
So if I show a picture of JFK being shot with a laser beam not a bullet and someone says that's fake, it's their job to prove it wrong.
Can we use pictures of amateur astronomers who arent affiliated with NASA?
Wait why is the ISS believable but smaller satellites are not now? I'm super confused.
I get you, but I'd they can put the iss up there, why cant they put satellites?
Because we just established that those theories are less likely than it being a satellite.
Because the size and speed dont add up with it being a balloon or plane.
Why is a balloon that costs a billion more likely than a machine construct esp since it goes too fast for a balloon?
Too slow for a plane
I cant track planes with my 8" scope. I can track the Goodyear blimp however.
Because every plane I've ever seen goes past my fov and I cant track it. Balloons do not. This was in between, must mean its higher up.
Substantiated how?
I saw the ISS by seeing a slow moving star and saw it was going to pass right over a building, so focused on the building went up a few degrees and waited. Sure enough it drifted into view then I tracked it slowly before it was beyond my fov.
So I did see the iss
Wait you want a government funded tracking website to show you the location of a satellite?
What is stopping you from observing it?
Step 1: get telescope step 2: observe it?
I havent tried, I might need something bigger than my 8" thkugh
That's a lot of resources spent... what is the reasoning for them doing all that?
Why bother claiming there is an ISS at all
I mean why bother with a hoax like that? Lies invariably fall apart under scrutiny... and it's a pretty complex lie from the sound of it.
Wouldn't there be audits for that? Why havent we caught them and run them out of business?
The government is in on it? Ours? What about other governments? What do they get out of it.
If NASA is pocketing the net profits why do china, russia, and india stick with the lie of global earth?
No it is an honest question. Why does everyone perpetuate the globe lie if only the US profits from it.
Still dont know what incentive non US governments have to perpetuate the globe lie. Makes no sense.
Hmm I've never actually bothered to look this up, but how high would I need to be to see across the US?
Earth is flat. What I want to know is how high up I need to get to see across the US.
Guys, how high up so I need to be to see across the US? Or is there a photo of it?
Cant you just fly past it?
Those vids look fake imo
And that image
What? You can charter a tour of Antarctica...
If flat earth has no boundaries then what is beyond Antarctica?
Welp I've been told we are in a dome and now a flat unending plane. Which is it?
Why are we talking about sailing? We can fly. Cant I just fly past Antarctica?
Why hasn't anyone flown past Antarctica again? Seems like if its infinite we have a lot more land to populate on.
What is south anyway? On a disc you can only go in circles.
Nesy I'd risk it... I'd fly past Antarctica.
So south is... away from the middle?
So back to my original question... where can I find a good picture of the entire US? Like how high up would I need to be to see from Virginia to cali?
Constellations have moved, what do you mean?
Wait, why is that image of the horizon valid, but if you go just a bit higher to capture a wider angle its fake?
Horizon looks curved there. Where is the cutting off point between valid picture and fake?
Asking an honest question
From my perspective it's just the horizon level but higher up and a wider angle being taken into consideration
I just dont understand why you guys are using image proofs as a basis for refuting nasa claims when we established all NASA images are bunk anyway. Those flat horizon pics are just as fake as the curve ones.
That first image contradicts itself. A level sea means by default nothing will rise above a certain point.
I can have a level curve inside a bowl as long as my curve remains constant.
No I'm being practical.
Level just means perpendicular to a fixed point. I believe in the dome, we established that
If I draw a line following a bimodal curve and the line is exactly 1 inch above the curve, it's a level line with respect to the curve
I think that image meant plane, which is a flat surface with no deviation
Yea because that's not a valid argument.
That's not what level means. It is what a plane means
You can put a level on a basketball and have it read level if you balance it at a 90 degree angle from the center to the top
Or any side at 90 degrees
Depends? I've left a basketball outside and when the dew fell I had water all over my basketball
Dunno, is that something testable?
The flat earth ball?
Well Globers say gravity.
