21 m, been lurking here for several months been here mainly for spooks
I don't normally post here but I made waffles for the second time in my life, with a new pokeball themed waffle iron I got on sale
left over ingredients using the last of the colored batters, and on the right is a mix of the last of the sausage and 2 eggs mixed together
a powerball sandwhich, all layers made in the press
attempt at a powerball waffle
regular pokeball
honestly I've never made anything like that, but it sounds fun
The pics were an after thought for me
thanks man
Hey sorry to cut in but does anyone have any tips on hand mixing an angel food cake.
Getting stiff peaks is a real pain in the ass
At least it looks neat
that's rare
those seem a bit too fancy to do that within reason
eh if it's an old one I guess that's more believeable
nice
Any of you guys have experience making mead?
I started a batch for the second time, and it's a cherry Melomel.
So it was originally gonna be a 8 gallon mix, with 30 lbs. of honey and 2 gallons of cherry juice, but I didn't want to use water so I went and upped the juice to 6 gallons
Apparently that was enough to fill the container to 9.75 gallons, with a 14% potential.
Here it is before I put the air bubbler on it.
Ah, there's a trick to that, you just hide it away in a dark place that is cool but not cold, currently mine is going to live under my desk.
For my first batch they fermented in my closet that I barely use
so It doesn't really matter if it is clear or opaque
Also you would need to check in on it over the first couple days to make sure that the yeast is alive and well
The main thing about opaque containers is that they simplify the process but it's still a good idea to stow it away.
Ah! A fellow dishwasher
kek ๐
Yes. Been some time since I've been in that kind of dishpit, but I know that can be a little grueling, especially alone, good luck unto you fellow ghoul
oof, I know catering can be a nightmare. currently I
ack I sent that to early
oh shit, welp that's not good
I do, but the pit I work in now a days is on a campus in buffet style restaurant that does catering. But luckily to day is one of my two days off
Oh. Neato!
Well have a good shift
Not sure if you guys would be interested but for my town we do a halloween pub crawl and I'm going as Jason from part 6 and repainted a mask ( I got 2).
Wanted a second opinion on my paint job
Right one is my work if it ain't obvious
Spent about 4 hours of work between sanding, painting, and waiting
I appreciate the advice sir. I'll try and do a brown wash give it some color.
Alright lads so I did more work on my mask
I originally fucked up and thoughtmixing black spray paint with water would be an easy way to make a dark wash but ooh boy was I wrong
So I had to repaint the base and go from there
But now I come into another issue
The mask in the movie in question wasn't nearly this dark
Alright that's what I was thinking. I'll just have to be careful
Also just for reference
Oof the base for this was like 5 bucks but I've invested probably 20 in supplies
True
Well for now I think I'll attempt to just do a light dry brush
Yeah
I actually got most of the costume already
And that guy in the vid gets ridiculously lucky finds
Yeah. And as for the belt I'm just using gun belts of the right color and holes
I was gonna use sheaths and have accurate stuff bit I got worried it'd spook the bars
Since it is for a pub crawl
I'll post pics of the belt
Ah. I'm 6'2" and a big lad in general
Fun fact
Jason's heights in the movie varies from 6'1" to 6'5"
Based on actors that is
Butyeah
Sounds right
Ye
Part 1 was 5'11"
Yep
I mean yeah. That was the one where you could see his ribs and if I recalm the first one where Kane Hodder played him and went through crazy shit
I really like the general shape of that one since it's so different
Progress report
Agreed
I'm back from the store
Think I'll continue the drybrush a little bit more
Alright so I think I might sfopa while ahead this time
Thanks man
Sorry to hear that
That's honestly one of those art forms that i know jackshit about
Also
Here's my costume
Normally wouldn't fully button up but the rubber hood was fucking up as it was tight
Very cool
nice
nice
homie it could just be a simple photoshop of 2 pics of the same chick walking, one at one distance and the other as she got further away, and just spliced the pics together
people get bored, and make edgy art projects
๐ nice
Heard that wombats were actually taking other animals into their shelters that are underground enough that they don't burn, as a way to save them. So with that in mind they're at least useful for this current event of burning hellscape
Holy shit that's a good pic
seems pretty cancerous in here
nice
yo what the fuck
man just wanted to play monopoly, god damn it
looks like an uncut loaf of bread
reminds me of pig the dog
