Ok bois so it's story time. Yesterday I noticed I couldn't log into Starcraft II. I passed it off as a temporary maintenence fix, and played Witcher instead. Today I still couldn't log in, so I went to the Blizzard website, long story short their site is shit and I spent nearly an hour trying to connect to a live person. Another hour and a half later, and I had to give up troubleshooting because I couldn't update blizzard, couldn't uninstall, and couldn't log in. So I finally tried Steam and got suspicious. Offline games like witcher could launch, but TF2 wouldn't connect to the game coordinator. Finally the tech guy at Blizzard said "try a VPN". I Downloaded a free VPN trial, and lo and behold I logged into Starcraft and steam. I spent a little while trying to figure it out before speaking to my dad. The techie said it could be a modem problem, and my dad said no way, the modem's fine. Half an hour later he "remembered" that he had drastically increased the firewall settings on our modem the day before.
TL;DR my dad messed with the modem and killed my vidya for 48 hours, and I wasted a techie's time for two hours.
