Hey. Where can I find Sargon's schedule for when he's going to be in PDX? I don't want to miss this rare opportunity.
The Aboriginals as I understand it were simply extreme survivalists.
Basically natural selection developed some very hardy humans that didn't especially need much in the way of tools.
Almost nobody was up to the challenge of fending off Europeans and our diseases.
I think you're thinking of some very desperate Islanders @muh_feelings.
Chubby Tumblrina hands on a Macbook keyboard, could they pigeonhole themselves any harder?
Humvee was designed to traverse a wide variety of terrain & be mechanically simple. It was also built by the lowest bidder.
Well not necessarily lowest bidder, lowest bidder who lobbied the right people.
Lowest bidder doesn't necessarily mean poor workmanship. Sure as hell implies it though.
Space travel is probably safer than air travel, just even more spectacular when it does fail than even an air disaster.
Moon Machines is one of my favorite documentaries about the Apollo program. Broo reminded me of it.

@Deleted User I think they also have a charming "Job's done!" also interesting to learn you're Israeli, have you served in the IDF?
At this point though it seems like games of any scale of budget tend to focus on single player or multiplayer.
Listening to Dr. Peterson has an effect on how I articulate myself. Hopefully not overly pretentious.
I loved that moment. Does anyone else cast Dr. Peterson in an avuncular light?
I remember clearly when I learned that word. A comic in Nickelodeon magazine, it was a series of words with different comic cells as representations of a multiple choice quiz. Avuncular stuck in my head. I wish I remembered which issue of the magazine it was.
Yes. I'm American, I have some tenuous hebrew heritage in my geneology though.
I have an Israeli tank crew yamika, that my grandpa gave me.
No. He was US Army. I don't know how he came by it.
Yes, US Army tends to give the soldiers a lot of stuff to keep.
Israeli citizenship is contingent on IDF service, unless you have an out if I recall correctly.
Were you infantry, @Deleted User?
Oh fair enough @Deleted User. I did want to say that I really enjoy the design of the Merkava tank. It has its own prayer cloth!
Heh. Well they are mostly armor, engine, & weapon. If they could do without crew that might be preferred by the high command.
Still. Can pack quite a few lads in a Merkava compared to an Abrams.
@Deleted User it has some novel features.
For instance, it doubles as an APC & the afore mentioned prayer cloth, which is actually a passive missile defense for the turret bearing.
I don't know if the IDF would accept me. The US Navy didn't. Albeit I had to tell them about a drug I was prescribed in high school to make them defer my enlisting.
I mean. I'd probably lose the spare tire if I did PT every day & ran on rations.
I really need to switch to bicycling to the train station rather than driving my electric car to work.
Uh. Where do you see me, @Deleted User?
Heh. Well I'm 165cm 90kg, so I could stand to lose some.
Well. Ideally 70kg. But that's military pt weight.
Are you high in openness, @Deleted User?
How nuts would chat get if JDP legitimately joined & chatted?
Well it's like me in eighty percent of the servers I'm in.
I actually found out recently my dad made Captain or O3 in the army.
"I bet you're the kind of person to fuck somebody without the common decency to give them a reach around!" I believe is the exact line.
Nothing to sneeze at, not bad for a 20 year old from Bergholz.
He was intelligence, had a decent level clearance.
I did manage to switch a printer back to English from Hebrew at work, cause I realized it switched the menu from left to right to right to left.
I can read anything with a roman or cyrrillic alphabet.
Dad speaks Spanish & passes for a very tall Cuban.
I'm not really able to speak any of the languages I can read, mostly cause I don't get any practise.
My dad can't tell me what he did at the NSA which was part of why his rank went up so fast.
Not quite Good Will Hunting type deal, but not far off either.
My dad has some, as does my mother through her father.
I don't think they even know what a saffardic jew is.
It showed up as Spain & Middle East in my DNA test.
Course my Grammas Scots Irish on mom's side & Welsh on dad's results in me having kinda auburn hair.
I got told I looked German by a Dutch girl I was in a Seattle Hostel with.
Do you want me to send you a picture so you can stop imagining Cetronius?
Well, the way my beard is cut it looks more pointed.
