Im just looking for recommendations/info on a good “tactical” gun belt that I can put mag pouches and what not on.

Does the velocity systems operator belt come with the rigger belt or do I have to buy both for it to be functional?

Hmmm i mean i wouldnt mind both. One for shtf and one for just running drills and taking classes. I just dont want to spend $500 on just belts because everything is sold separately $100 a pop but it looks like that is the name of the game

Is retention an issue with over clothes wrap around belts? I feel like I will have issues with the belt sliding up around my torso. HSGI operator belt looks like a good option and maybe I will get that with the velcro belt loop inner belt?

I imagine the velcro for those belt systems gets fucked pretty quickly no? Im remembering the velcro on my acus and getting bitched at cause my shoulder pockets were flapping around.

Garand thumb pitches a pretty good belt but dunno if I want to restrict to belt loop attachment - i’d have buy new pouches

GT belt is basically a 2” gun belt made of scuba web. Its like $70 and just loops through your pants like a regular belt. Pros are that its cheap and durable, cons are that its belt loop only and you cant quickly remove shit.

He apparently uses as his 1st line gear. With holster, mag pouches, ifak etc.

My boss doesnt want to use chinese shit and we have found it very difficult to find good chip fabrication stateside. So much so that we looked into doing it ourselves

Curious about preferences for hydro, camel bak or canteen with a drinking hose (not CBRN hose, just like camel bak).

This is a bit late but apparently people shat on my Canteen with a drinking hose idea. The thought here was quick access like a camel bak but without the camel bak rupturing when you throw on a ruck problem that is ever present.

I bring this up because I just popped another camel bak (like 4th one - it lasted a while but still) So im gonna try it, and was curious if anyone else had done it before.

How is it any different than a camel bak?

Functionally tho? Its hard plastic so not gonna pop and the drinking hose gives it the same utility? Either way it was like $9 for the canteen and $15 for the hose so nbd.

@5W Not really, it was pretty cheap for an experiment and I am curious what others consider pros and cons. Is there anything besides the capacity that you see as an issue? I just want something less in the way than a camel bak and a that has less of a risk of bursting since I have had bad experiences.

I promise you I am not the only one who has had a camel bak break, and not wanting to wear multicam seems a low threshold.

So i was just in a shitty reserve unit but they issued us hydration bladders and 2x canteens specifically because they said the bladders tend to burst. Maybe the canteen idea is dumb, ill own that - i wouldnt have asked if I wasnt second guessing it myself.

Its not like I dont also have a camel bak. I have a hanging filter that I use to refill my water source.
