Maybe I should just make my own then. Can’t be too hard. Some low pass filters and amplifiers with a plastic enclosure.
and they have to be making a profit so I just divided by 1/3~ 🤷🏿
Sell them super cheap and slap a “ Made In America” sticker on them. Will sell thousands guranteed.
peltor sport tacticals are $71 wholesale
so that's probably accurate
the biggest difference is that comtacs are made in the US I think
which probably drives the price up
so maybe a more realistic not-bs wholesale price is around $150
for peltors?
ye
wholesale for comtacs is $300 on RSR
This just proves my point. Slap a made in america label on it and you create instant retail value
unless you're asking what the distributor pays for them
Even though all the internals are made in china
yeah I know, I'm saying a realistic price
oh i see
$300 is a bs price
yeah lol
comtacs have to be made in the usa though
them niggas overpriced asf
there's a lot of shit with insane msrp on rsr now that i think about it
@ottovfrankfurt thats not true
anything the military buys has to be made here
but sometimes it isn't :^)
niggas out here not knowing about berry compliance
as long as nobody finds out
What US based semiconductor manufacturing plant do they use?
100% chinese made or just chinese assembled
but yeah us gov isn't going to let an adversary produce military goods for the us military
@ottovfrankfurt samsung and apple have factories established stateside just for making berry compliant phones for military use
plus there are chip manufacturers still in the US
@Cataclysmo I honestly did not know this. Apple has used pegatron heavily and even places like Texas Instruments outsources chip production to factories in China
Unless you can't get it here due to some regional restriction, it has to be made here
dunno about "how much of it" though
for the most part, it seems that companies start up factories in the US just because of it
My boss doesnt want to use chinese shit and we have found it very difficult to find good chip fabrication stateside. So much so that we looked into doing it ourselves
Chinks have been buying bankrupt HS factories for awhile now
@ottovfrankfurtwhat is japan
@Festive would still not be made in US tho but fair point
