My building made horse carriages before 1900, Sherman tanks during the war, and was a cold hammer forge until the 80s
On occasion I use machines that have a commission from the war dept.
Original timber support beams
I make $80k/yr and have no debt. Im told this is very good. Alas, I still feel like a poorfag.
Poorfag is a state of mind
Stop being a poorfag
buy nicer things or productive investments
@Runt nice mine was part of hoovers plan to fix the great depression
It was a 3 story textile mill n most of the beams and flooring are original
Also the exterior since its brick

I am embellishing a bit but it definitely works up some anxiety
🤔
Cheap shit is never worth it if its anything important
you can get comtacs for $200
regularly $300
Buying something new when there's an established "used/surplus" market is kinda dumb
also comtacs don't cancel noise
Didnt we all discuss comtacs yesterday
yes 😔
Where do you like to look? When you say used/surplus are you talking like arfcom EE, eBay, and gunbroker?
Or is there a good website to get surp comtacs thru?
it kinda is when you're used to $25 leights but as with all things, as things get more expensive you get less value but they're still nicer
@SomeWarrior Ebay, Tacswap, facebook/insta, here even
If you want to be cheap go buy $150 sordins with LEMOs
I was likely not part of yesterdays convo.
From what I was seeing there was active noise reduction/filtering so you could hear conversations during gun fire, is that incorrect?
Gunfire hella clips the mic on comtacs
I mean you can kinda talk but if there's active constant gunfire, no
@ottovfrankfurt So the primary purpose of comtacs isn't ear pro, it's situational awareness and communications.
They compress loud noises but if there is constant gunfire or droning, it'll cut out incoming voice
They also amplify quiet sounds
thats what i had always thought given my experience with other powered ear pro but I have never used comtacs
the ear pro part is just barely enough so you're not going deaf from MG fire or shooting in a hallway
That's why radio/comms are useful.
And yep, that's why I want the ops core AMP so I can double up my electronic earpro
Bc earmuffs are not enough
Literally who
