God, like any other religion, tried to make sense of their world about it by describing occurences by using more spiritual means rather than scientific.
When spirituality which is more working on oneself was taken away from religion it became another division of the world.
Christianity and other religions are just modern day cave paintings and stories passed down. Like a game of Chinese whispers, they get more ludicrous as the days and the years go on.
For something like Christianity to condemn homosexual acts, which actually it does, just those that practice it was just that religions way or trying to be "better" than others.
A "pagan" faith system is one which has many gods. Christianity wiped out the Greek religions which are now called myths and the Celtic and Norse ones yes people still attribute Christianity to the whole Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve thing.
These pagan faiths were more loose about their sexuality as it was more celebrated, whereas the Christians who actually borrowed most of their festivals and holidays for other faiths and took them as their own, other pagan faiths that they tried to weed out. So it's such a whole hypocritical nature for you to say it because in truth NO deity said it.
We often mix up things and attribute that to some religious doctrine when in fact it's just another control mechanism to put you against those that just want to live freely.

Homosexuality was practised by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Celts and Norse, a freedom of expression and more equal than today's systems of governance that have the Christian religion still at their core until only a few decades ago.
Law should be about morality and what is fair and just and nothing to do with a religion that captures and enslaves minds to thing that no one is allowed, human or not, to live how they want to live.

So @F0X~{A Walker} , please, if you can, which I find highly unlikely, come up with another reason why other mammals, can't be gay.

Your other point about procreation is just basing itself on the presumed instinct of a being which you know nothing about. Say a lion as depicted here. Do you believe yourself above a lion? That they too cannot share affection with another who cross their path?
Even heard of Kevin Richardson the lion whisperer, he walks and speaks with lions and they do him no harm. If they can as male and female share love and affection, unconditionally with a human who would most likely be seen as prey, then why is it... so beyond you to think that any other animal could love another of the same sex?

Just a thought.
