metaphysics is a way of assessing something by merely observing its properties on itself, like assessing a system by isolating it from a whole, from its natural environment

this way of thinking is simplistic and objective

dialectics is opposed to this, it assesses things by discussing the perspectives with other people with different perspectives

it regards all views contain some truths in them, but none are complete, and dialectics solve this by combining views to create as much of an objective truth of something as possible
