@Aidan xD Depends on the system. If it isn't market socialism (wages would work similarly to how they do now in market socialism) then they would optimally be based upon labour time. Labour vouchers would be used instead on money which don't circulate and, unlike money, represent how much labour you have performed, and so, are entitled to the equivalent amount of products which required the same amount of labour to produce. Ideally the ratio between labour performed and goods purchased would have a labour value of 1:1 but due to natural limitations it would float around the 'true' value.

Anyone have any good sources for the material development of patriarchy/gender outside of the west? The system employed by the Iroquois, and other matriarchal societies, is super interesting

@National Trotskyist I mean the domination of women sexually as an economical necessity is a pretty clear example of patriarchy. We could have a discussion as to whether or not patriarchy exists today and if not what has it transformed into but that's besides the point I think.
Oh wow this is interesting. It's bizarre how early agricultural societies are often matriarchal even when they don't have any connections (see the Iroquois). There must be some anthropological work done on this topic with a marxist analysis

@the last son of the west Thanks. 'Caliban and the Witch' looks interesting so I'll likely give it a look in the near future.
@ใ€Œใฮฃ ฮฃ F ฮ” ฮง ใ€ From my understanding the transition from egalitarian and/or matriarchal society to patriarchal occurs during early agricultural society and fully develops once as full division of labor has occurred. As a side note: the Ancient Greeks are pretty cool because their mythos showed women to be a lot more dominant than they were in social life; a clue of a once more matriarchal or egalitarian society existing.

Also; Anyone know if Nikolai Kondratiev's book 'The Grain Market' ever got translated into english? I can't find a copy anywhere. It's cited in Medvedev's 'The October Revolution'. Anything on the results of the 1918 economic policy and more specifically how it led to a large portion of the population becoming disenfranchised with the Bolsheviks.
