@Sam Anderson wut
No. "Is lance corporal the deputy?"
@Grossly Incandescent Please don't hot mic bud
You will be muted in voice if you're hot mic'ing
I just say "Oh wow, that's awesome!"
what am I missing?
The plaque removal is disheartening
I don't believe there's much that can be done to be frank
ugh wut
Clearly the strategy of "let's make them fear us" and attempting to portray oneself as a villain has not worked
Not to mention that Spencer is quickly losing any and all creditbility
What message? That Richard is going to lead us to the promised land through fear? The entire tweet hinges on the concept of "fear." It's clearly the conclusion following the beginning of the tweet
No
Let's not forget that Spencer openly stated his intention to destroy our organization
Internships are pretty good tbh
Depends on the field I suppose
Well I think the point is that they're complimentary and help your standing
I'm not super familiar with the medical field.
But I know that throughout my career that they've helped people I know get hired. Most people I knew that were hired out of college had done interships. Met very few that had not.
^This is true from my experience. That or have some type of app or software development to point to
Yeah for sure, lots of things fall into that
If you're doing CS, depending on what you want to do after college I highly suggest you start developing an app or piece of software to point to
Definitely. How do you get there? You're likely going to have a stressful job especially right out of college
@mella I think the point is, is that generally it cannot hurt you. For the most part, it can only help.
I've never not hired, or heard of someone being turned down for a job for having an internship
Did you have an internship? Frankly I never did one after college.
@TMatthews absolutely
Saw multiple people get hired after successful internships
Well it depends @Jacob
CS? probably
Epic meme
Many of our ideas aren't or shouldn't be communicated explicitly
The weight you have in a conversation is going to heavily relate to the weight you carry. Who are you? What do you do with your life? Do you have a lot of social or financial capital? Or are you just some guy quoting statistics?
Do you dress well? Are you attractive? Good with women? Etc
You may know the truth, yyou may have the right answers, but if you don't have much to show for yourself socially etc, you're possibly just going to make someone more hostile to our ideas.
Yes and no
Go make something of yourself, have something to show for yourself. People are more willing to follow the guy that's got a lot of friends and people want to be around, than the guy that might know far more than the former but no one wants to be around because he can't relate socially
Your life needs to consist of more than politics. Have a shit ton of hobbies, be doing things
Politics should be an outgrowth of who you are and how you live
Go do it, you can.
It doesn't always require money
just be a person that builds people up
etc
