But you shouldn't pin those countries' practices on people in a country thousands of miles away who literally cannot change any of those countries' policies or what the politicians there decide to do

I read a few articles and the Koch brothers don't seem to be exactly "open borders", they even stated this: "The president has a duty to enforce the nation’s immigration laws." They did support borders, they were only against the deportation of illegal immigrants. Which, sure, isn't super right leaning, but is 100% not complete open borders. Although if I misread it, feel free to correct me.

Bernie isn't really super left, so I don't expect him to support a sort of radical position like full on open borders
