This seems like a pretty fair analysis. https://dpeaflcio.org/programs-publications/issue-fact-sheets/the-u-s-health-care-system-an-international-perspective/
They didn't really point out that US does nearly all of the worlds research and medical technology investment which other countries benefit from
U.S. health care specialists are among the best in the world. However, treatment in the U.S. is inequitable, overspecialized, and neglects primary and preventative care.[77] The end result of the U.S. approach to health care is poorer health in comparison to other advanced industrialized nations.
pretty much though I am seeing a trend in the insurance industry beginning to offer incentives for preventative care
that has a lot to do with our FDA and patent law, other countries don't allow pharmaceutical companies to renew patents like we do. Prevents free markets
what is also funny is that since we can get drugs from other countries the free market still finds a way
both points are true
This is over simplified but gives some reasons why: https://www.businessinsider.com/ap-multiple-factors-cause-high-prescription-drug-prices-in-us-2015-9
also Weez that split on the dem vs republican is pretty hard core
here is the article I think: https://thehill.com/hilltv/what-americas-thinking/428958-poll-voters-want-the-government-to-provide-healthcare-for
the poll is at the bottom though
it's not great but indicative. Also, the poll is racist, they had 5 times as many whites as any other race!!! kek
I wish the practice one shows the people inside the field for the capitalism instead of watching over the wall
one is they artificially lower the cost by putting price ceilings on drugs and procedures
which gets into the patent law I mentioned before
I am completely in favor of redoing the patent laws concerning drugs in this country
In fact, I bet if you made that one change alone it would probably make a huge dent in the issue
that also gets into making advertising drugs illegal. I am on the fence for that one
Iran: "Well we already pissed off the biggest military in the world. How about we piss off the second biggest navy?"
That is interesting
this explains the main issue with govt run healthcare
http://bastiat.org/en/the_law.html
"If this is true, then nothing can be more evident than this: The law is the organization of the natural right of lawful defense. It is the substitution of a common force for individual forces. And this common force is to do only what the individual forces have a natural and lawful right to do: to protect persons, liberties, and properties; to maintain the right of each, and to cause justice to reign over us all."
lol, too logical for you
It is a summary paragraph of a chapter.
I linked the reference
you can get the audio book on audible
basically all rights of government derive from individual rights to use force to protect life, property and liberty. If the government goes beyond that basic duty then it commits plunder (theft) of the people and will cause the oppressed people to take over either by becoming the leaders or revolution. Those peoples goals will be to either share in the plunder or fix the injustice.
yes
fine but, I am taking my ball with me
steak so tender you can cut it with a wooden ice cream spoon, sounds delicious
after the initial splinters that spoon will probably be pretty smooth
doesn't say that
for our amusement
snoops says this story is mostly false
Who are these people!? How are there even 30,000 completely ideologically driven idiots in the world. Man, when you think they can go now further, they say 'Hold my beer.'
I stand corrected
facebook is about to be sued for all it's worth
we are obligated by treaty to participate.
Chuck Shumer
A fair tactic with him
he is an example of everything wrong with politics
