Shouldn't that mean you're a centrist?
@Valeska-แผฯฮฑฮฏฯฮฑ dude, chill out
They're a private corporation, it doesn't matter if you want to express fascist beliefs but a corporation doesn't have to allow that content
The first amendment only protects you from the gov
No one should have them
South Korea and the US
Yeah
Yeah, you have the juche North and capitalist south
Capitalism is better compared to feudalism and a command economy, but we can do better
Too high, you also have to wonder the number of homeless people compared to empty unsold houses
Imagine how many people you could feed with all the wasted produce, meat, and unsold food
It should, where I live the gov created a compost bin along with a trash and recycling bin
They pick up less trash, but most uneaten food becomes fertilizer thanks to the comp bin
It's pretty neat
It still doesn't fix the corporations' waste tho
What I hate is how housing is considered a commodity, same with food and water
Those things are human rights
Well that's a social democracy, it's just capitalism with but with a larger lean on socialism
If you want to see communism and democracy working together then you're looking at a system of democratic socialism
Because even though you're basic rights could be guaranteed in a social democracy you still have the issue of a ruling class and a broken system of representative democracy instead of direct democracy
What's the issue with it?
Well you're assuming there would be some sort cabinet or national body, direct democracy operates on a small decentralized scale
There is no head or central leader
Yeah pretty much, the Weimar Republic was still a representative democracy
Well direct democracy is really just rep democracy on a very small scale, you would see a ward of a hundred people or less electing a representative whom they can switch out at any time. Direct democracy would be more efficient since the lack of terms results in decisions being made faster than the bureaucracy found in modern rep democracies.
What's the issue with it being on a small scale? A decentralized system would just function as a group of smaller systems working together. Which would solve issues faster rather than the bloated rep democracies we see today.
I don't see a reason for why people can't be educated in a direct democracy, they would actually be more educated since people could go back to post-secondary without the threat of debt. Defense could also be sorted out in this manner, not to mention the fact that every commune is protected since everyone has the access, ability, and education to use violence. Defence forces as seen in Rojava are organized in the principle of direct democracy and they have been able to hold out against Turkey.
Communes could trade and should trade with each other. There is no reason for why they wouldn't negotiate with each other into unions of communes. Production would increase (As was seen in anarchist communes during the Spanish Civil War) because more jobs would be dedicated to production. Lots of jobs right now don't make anything useful. Workers in things like advertising, management, investment, and banking could be educated and work towards the production of food and useful items. Because of this reorientation towards production you would also see lower hours.
As for defence, the CNT-FAI was able to organize its forces democratically. They were crushed (like the other centralized armies in Europe) by German manpower. Soviets also played a role in the demise of the CNT-FAI because of their vanguardism.
You mean like democratic socialism?
What do you think about mutualism?
My friend gave me his condom balloon
