Like the idea of an ethnostate, is this just a side group of the First Colony?

There is always a job, and if not they can just work for themselves. Teach them to grow their own food, teach them to build their own house. If they can do those things then there will be no need for welfare

@Orchid PNW sounds much better to me than Maine tbh, but I'll see how much I can help with both groups

I understand the need for compassion and humanity but I don't want the new society to end up like the old one, a welfare state

Tax/welfare is state-run slavery, the most productive of the nation loses the most to give to the least productive for nothing in return

Welfare attracts those sorts of people and the US didn't use to have welfare yet it didn't have homeless and starving people everywhere either

Instead of welfare just have a community shelter and a soup kitchen inside

To get them back up on their feet if things go bad

No, I wouldn't let it get to that, I'd make sure they were well set up so even in the case of my death they would still be alright

Wouldn't Alaska be better for large land buys? More isolated and if we're smart with greenhouse farms we should be able to farm 365 days a year

Would be better to have multiple communities wouldn't it? Trade and cooperation between them

@Bellerophon have a look at aidomes, prefab concrete structures, earthquake proof domes, if our structures are built like this than earthquakes shouldn't affect us much

They look comfy enough

Plus they are crazy durable and extremely heat /cold insulating

Just need to make concrete templates and we can build hundreds of them ourselves
