I mean if we consider the numinous amounts of theories which prove gravity exists, what evidence is there to say it doesn't exist?
Magnet domains work on a spherical form, even when the magnetised item is a rectangle, a square, a circle, or any shape.
I mean overall, the idea of a flat Earth is a bit absurd, I understand conspiracy theories and all but to believe something that has been proven numerous times only to say 'the government are lying' is very hard to understand.
What benefit do they gain from saying the Earth is a globe?
Or if you believe that they're doing it to hide something then sure, but if you can prove that they are then I'll come to believe in such claims.
@rivenator12113 it is trivial to prove that
There is a force by definition
by definition?
Yes
Elaborate?
The definition of force is F=ma. It is trivial to show that mass accelerates down, which is by definition a force.
can you prove that?
Jump up, you will come down, if gravity doesn't exist then you will continue upwards at the same speed you left the ground at.
nope
just density
ffs 2 minutes to send a message in this chat
Density?
@lapizzle You're not going to give evidence?
@rivenator12113 it is trivial to demonstrate this
There can be no other evidence for the existence of a force than accelerating mass. Accelerating mass defines a force.
@b_o_om It can be anything. You need to give evidence to a cause that happens only to gravity
minimises and dismisses requests for evidence to back up assertions
A cause that happens only to gravity?
The evidence is that mass accelerates downwards @Silly Rabbit, Trix Are For Kids
youve shown no evidence
...
What do you believe exactly?
How do we stay on the ground with each step?
If I was to propel myself off my seat right at this instant, what's stopping me from ascending into space?
Things going down isn't an effect thats only attributed in the gravity theory. You need to give evidence which can cause gravity.
Earth's mass forms a gravitational pull.
I'm not invoking gravity, stop strawmaning me. I am only talking about a generic force. @rivenator12113
the question was " can you prove this second assertion?" lapizzleToday at 5:17 PM
@💀 Spooky River 💀 it is trivial to prove that
There is a force by definition
Gravity is caused from the mass of the Earth.
There are other theories that explain things going down. Saying '' things go down '' is also explained by other theories
Okay, great you started with something
can you show evidence thta definitions exert forces upon reality?
All of the other theories also invoke a force though @rivenator12113
*Earth's gravity comes from all its mass. All its mass makes a combined gravitational pull on all the mass in your body. That's what gives you weight. And if you were on a planet with less mass than Earth, you would weigh less than you do here.*
you could continue using "because the bible told me so" style non-arguments, but its invalid
