had all the parts to build a ham setup from the old radio/tv vacuum tubes laying around and convert the old house tv antenna for what i needed
well if u look around locally...and see tall antennas on homes with no wifi/cell units on them, or no radio/tv logos on them..then they must be shortwave/ham setups
then it might be safe-ish to ask nicely on the subject depending on how paranoid the locals are around u
