Also, do MOST, if not all workouts (except running) in 45 second sets, 45 seconds of constant muscle tension. Itโs the best way to grow muscles them self and endurance of them.
45 second base of sprinting then walk 45 seconds then repeat best cardio ever
Donโt even count reps. Itโs a bad mindset to think โ oh i can only do so many reps, im weaker than this guy or this girlโ just do as best as you can for 45 secs straight and keep tension on the targeted muscle. Stay in control of your reps and focus on the muscle youโre working
The best cardio Iโve had was the piper workout, itโs in the ones I sent, but itโs pretty much 1000 meter repeats

And if youโre going for functional fitness, donโt go heavy weight low reps, do body weight exercises with whatever equipment you expect to wear. Keep up consistency too, donโt make fucking excuses to not workout.

i feel good because i ran for 20 mins yesterday while my wife and baby walked (well, he relaxed in the stroller), and she actually ran with him for the last 6 mins. i'll do some weightlifting tomorrow and then monday i'll start conditioning for those sprinting routines with the baseline @EliteBeret was talking about

i find it best not to compare 38-year-old-self to when i was 23-year-old-self. it seems that as time goes on, on average, i am more fit than my peers. i can't run 3 miles quickly, but at least i can run 3 miles and do it reasonably okay.
