Its pointless because PC doesn't have console generations it mostly all runs on computers still.
But the other classics are new consoles to play the old games unless Im mistaken which new consoles cant play unless specifically designed to.

Not really. GOG exists largely because a lot of classic PC games have trouble on modern hardware or flat out don't work
Loads of pre-XP games donโt work on post-XP systems unless theyโve been reworked by a developer or a hobbyist.
First game that comes to my mind is Majesty. I think it didnโt even work on XP when I upgraded to it.
Except one of this things selling points is doom...
