wholesome

2020-02-19 11:22:11 UTC

we'll see if it spreads at the same rate outside of china in a few weeks

2020-02-19 11:23:19 UTC

Already had the chance to spread at the same rate in Japan and it didnt

2020-02-19 11:24:20 UTC

its likely due to the density of infections in China that the rate is so high

2020-02-19 11:24:22 UTC

not quite, we'll see how japan does in two weeks

2020-02-19 11:24:27 UTC

the incubation time is LONG

2020-02-19 11:24:43 UTC

Japans first major spreader was over 3 weeks ago

2020-02-19 11:24:58 UTC

and chinese reaction started weeks before the initial response came out

2020-02-19 11:25:08 UTC

He only spread to 4 people despite having contact with over 300

2020-02-19 11:26:14 UTC

The incubation period has been confirmed in Japan as under two weeks in most cases

2020-02-19 11:26:21 UTC

up to three in rare instances

2020-02-19 11:27:08 UTC

Several people have had incubation periods of under 5 days

2020-02-19 11:28:44 UTC

And the virus is not a bioweapon. Gnome is already sequenced. If it was a bioweapon we would already know about it

2020-02-19 11:28:54 UTC

+Lethality is too low

2020-02-19 11:33:27 UTC

why are governments using HIV medication to treat symptoms?

2020-02-19 11:34:53 UTC

Because HIV meds are extremely powerful anti-viral drugs. We dont actually have alot of drugs that directly combat viruses because they are hard to kill and usually not serious enough to warrent a threat to the body.

2020-02-19 11:36:09 UTC

It might be that other anti-virals work but HIV meds are the strongest in common usage so it was the natural first attempt to combat it

2020-02-19 11:36:59 UTC

The same drugs worked on SARS back in the day too so doctors reached for them right away do to the virus being 70% or more SARS DNA

2020-02-23 13:35:46 UTC

How the hell Italy got 80 cases of Wu flu?

2020-02-23 13:36:43 UTC

Tourists?

2020-02-23 14:59:36 UTC

This is some movie horror shit. People are aperantly starting to lose their marbles.

2020-02-23 17:28:47 UTC

Good God. The Italians don't even know where the source of their cluster comes from.

2020-02-23 17:29:05 UTC

Just great.

2020-02-23 19:08:54 UTC

too many siestas

2020-02-23 20:39:50 UTC

155 cases in Italy... What the fuck is going on?!

2020-02-23 20:40:04 UTC

They start to isolate cities

2020-02-23 20:40:30 UTC

Yeah it's concerning

2020-02-23 20:41:09 UTC

Time to stockpile stuff for when it inevitably hits Hamburg and the surrounding areas

2020-02-23 20:42:00 UTC

It was already detected in Germany but most confirmed cases are already "cured".

2020-02-23 20:42:55 UTC

What the hell happened in Italy that caused this.

2020-02-23 20:44:03 UTC

Don't trust cured cases

2020-02-23 20:44:26 UTC

The official numbers for safe quarantines already were fucked up

2020-02-23 20:44:41 UTC

14 days is not enough for example

2020-02-23 20:44:47 UTC

That's why used quotation marks.

2020-02-23 20:45:32 UTC

The disease is crazy

2020-02-24 13:38:57 UTC

215 cases in Italy. Patient zero still unknown.

Sad

2020-02-24 13:47:49 UTC

Most unsettling for sure. Stock up if you can if you are in Europe. 200 cases is enough of a stronghold to spread like wild fire. Especially if the source of the infection is unknown.

2020-02-24 15:32:20 UTC

It's probably still underreported in Italy.

2020-02-24 15:32:33 UTC

I'll make some purchases before people panic

2020-02-25 03:51:52 UTC

This is gonna be a global pandemic, so stop worrying about it and just stock up on Sprite and Cambells chicken noodle soup.

2020-02-25 05:49:14 UTC

And get some good scotch.

2020-02-25 09:00:10 UTC

How do you know Coronachan is a Bioweapon?

2020-02-25 10:32:39 UTC

2020-02-25 10:44:28 UTC

They didn't learned already that "Russian narrative" isn't working?

2020-02-25 12:29:57 UTC

The real Russian meddling is the russians making stupid claims about the russians via the american left so no one takes accusations of russian meddling seriously.

2020-02-25 12:30:23 UTC

Not that anyone would care if they actually did.

2020-02-25 15:07:43 UTC

Maybe the real russian meddling was all the friends we made along the way

2020-02-27 13:36:03 UTC

Yup, no immunity after surviving it. You are still on a ride and the tracks never end.

2020-02-27 14:56:45 UTC

Im pretty sure once you're infected with a virus, it stays in your system indefinitely.

2020-02-27 14:57:51 UTC

There is a reason it's called Airborn AIDS

2020-02-27 14:59:32 UTC

The question now is - is that actually the case or does it linger for some time and dies of or they get reinfected by "normal way".

2020-02-27 14:59:51 UTC

Ehh AIDS really isn't a fair comparison.

2020-02-27 15:00:11 UTC

You almost have a zero chance of contracting aids, if you're not a degenerate.

2020-02-27 15:00:42 UTC

But it acts like one so the comparison is rather on point.

2020-02-27 15:00:59 UTC

I cannot belive the world goverments are this incopetent when it comes to containing the virus
there has to be a good reason behind it

2020-02-27 15:01:20 UTC

Pretty sure he lost some social credit points for that

2020-02-27 15:01:20 UTC

are they trying to kill off 1/3 of the worlds population or what

2020-02-27 15:01:23 UTC

Stock markets

2020-02-27 15:01:34 UTC

it cant be just because of stock markets

2020-02-27 15:01:57 UTC

Do you lose social credit points if you get infected?

2020-02-27 15:02:15 UTC

You have a 1 in a thousand chance of contracting HIV if you smash an HIV positive female in the pussy. The chance of infection only exists in cases of sodomy.

2020-02-27 15:02:32 UTC

It really is the gay disease.

2020-02-27 15:03:18 UTC

As for the coronavirus, Korea has less than a 1% fatality rate for those infected. China 2%. Iran 19% but everyone thinks Iran is finagling their numbers.

2020-02-27 15:03:46 UTC

So I doubt there's gonna be a mass die off. I also doubt it's a bioweapon.

2020-02-27 15:04:26 UTC

When designing a bioweapon, you want something that has a short half life and a high mortality rate. It hits fast and burns out.

2020-02-27 15:07:12 UTC

then suddenly people strat dying from coof in italy

2020-02-27 15:07:14 UTC

hmmmmmm

2020-02-27 15:14:44 UTC

Just to run some numbers because I think you are underestimating it still. 20% of all cases will be sever cases ( will require medical assistance), it is EXTREMELY INFECTIOUS, it's airborn, you don't develop immunity to it. My question is, do you belive that any medical system is able to respond properly to such massive outbreak? Bio weapon if developed properly will be controllable, yes. But nobody said it was Bio weapon released on purpose. This thing being a lab run away is still a possibility. Everyone is fudging their number, China being the most obvious. The fatality due to disease ITSELF might not be that high BUT if you take to the account the how disruptive it is you will get much higher percentage. If it won't kill you directly it could harm you indirectly. Shortages and economic damage being the most obvious negative effect of the virus and lack of medical care.
I forgot to add asymptomatic spread to the list of why this shit is so contagious.

2020-02-27 15:15:12 UTC

Tl;Dr - shit's fucked no matter how you look at it.

2020-02-27 15:28:13 UTC

@LimaGolf what I've been getting at. https://youtu.be/YQ38aWVW2N8
Food shortages and panic buying.

2020-02-27 15:31:23 UTC

Okay... that is a fair assessment to some degree. Mass panic would prove more dangerous than the disease itself. @Korin Dickman

2020-02-27 15:34:02 UTC

At this point mass panic is guaranteed and is justified.

2020-02-27 15:34:09 UTC

>im a human being not a virus
ok get away from me slanted eyed freak

2020-02-27 15:34:31 UTC

Get ready. If not for plague then for supply shortages.

2020-02-27 15:35:21 UTC

Globalism will get hit hard hard by this but so do we.

2020-02-27 15:35:32 UTC

dont be so optimistic

2020-02-27 15:35:44 UTC

i doubt this is the end

2020-02-27 15:35:45 UTC

I'm not

2020-02-27 15:37:39 UTC

Corrected the sentence. If globalism will be damaged (trade, manufacturing ect.) so do will our everyday life because we live in this system or even are part of it (like it or not).

2020-02-27 15:39:08 UTC

Like the heroine addict who suffers when his dealer is pinched.

2020-02-27 15:39:25 UTC

yes

2020-02-27 15:39:31 UTC

in the words of moldbug

2020-02-27 15:39:36 UTC

everyone is a globalist crack baby

2020-02-27 15:42:35 UTC

It's unfortunate reality but it is how it is. If you don't live in isolated, self-sustaining community you will negatively affect. But the silver lining(if it even can be called like this right now) is this situation shows how fragile this entire thing is and puts a lot of dents in credibility and competence of governments and international organizations like WHO.

2020-02-27 15:43:25 UTC

DONT PANIC just stay calm and consoom product and get excited for next product

2020-02-27 15:43:57 UTC

It's just a fluuuu brooo

2020-02-27 15:44:00 UTC

panic is a negative word

2020-02-27 15:44:18 UTC

theres never a reason to panic

2020-02-27 15:44:40 UTC

improvise.adapt.overcome.

2020-02-27 15:45:06 UTC

Be ready.
