are we allowed to tell stories from friends/family or just our own experiences?
Yes
War stories in general
No
which one lol
Yes
Amazing
gotem
So it's for stories in general
Anyways let me get started on talking about Nagarno
I was 18 when I got pressed into the military
Mandatory 2 year service since I never persued higher education
This was when the war first started
Back in 88,
And they were some of my best memories to be honest
I never cared much for Patriotism or the Military, but I did it anyways
It was my Duty to my people, not to my state
I hated the fighting, I got shot in โ89
Bullet tore through my Calf
But it was the moments in between
Sitting around with my friends
Comrades, Battle Brothers
Whatever you wish to call them
6 years were the best days of my life
Cause of the moments outside of the fighting
I wouldnโt say I was a good soldier, but by the end of it I was a Sergeant
Tensions were and still are high
But I left my home country in 95
Ended up working for Blackwater until Ukraine
After that I signed off, and got picked up by G4S
Still working with them, for now
I almost went home when there was a clash in 2016
But it never escalated enough for me to
Anyways thatโs all, I might go into more detail another time
Until then somebody else can do storytime
My father told me this story when I was recently at his house.
"I was in Kuwait 24 hours after the Iraq thought they were tough. We were walking through a bazzar on patrol and the guys thought it would be a good idea to buy some head scarfs in case we are over run we can put them on and run and click our tongues towards our lines."
Never happened though I still have it at my apartment for safe keeping
Another story is from Desert Storm
Some background first his been on a foot patrol for about 72 hours and was on the way back to base near Kuwait City.
He was driving his Humvee and pulled off the side of the road to take a nap he was just about to fall asleep when all of the sudden *Woooosh Wooosh*
MLRS about 10 of them let loose a barrage about 20 feet away he jumped out of the Humvee into a ditch his Captain walks up " Sgt. Callahan what are you doing down there?!"
I thought that was incoming sir
"NO Callahan that outgoing get your ass back in the Humvee"
Buddy and I were on the line, we randomly heard what we assumed was a jet at first. So we dove into the trench thinking that we were about to get smoked, about 30 or 45 minutes passby and we notice a drone over heard scouting us out. So we started taking a few pot shots and then a few of us climbed out and mooned the drone.
So long story short, someone has a picture of my ass.
XD
So no shit there I was surrounded by ninjas
Buddy of mine in a certain place in Minecraft. Was taking shots at the VDV then out of nowhere, one gets up out of the trench, pants tucked into his boots, wearing his beret and that gay striped shirt they're issued with a PKM. He yells "VEDAVEE" and starts ripping belts off in completely opposite direction of my buddy.
So I heard a story from my grandmothers cousin (I guess she is a grandma for me too). They had a grandmother (great-great-great grandmother for me) back in 1943. She was 105 at that time and became completely blind when she was around 90.
When there were fights over their village between russians and germans she refused to leave her house and stayed there cause she didnt believe that there was a war.
Her sons wife was taking care of her at that time but had to move with the rest ofthe family to neighbour village
Russians made a camp in the village she lived in, so germans bombed and shelled it from time to time for around 2 weeks
Sons wife would come once in two days to feed her (which was like 20 km walk one way)
She recalled that granny complained about mice being to loud on the roof, which she mistook bombings for.
She lived through those 2 weeks, even had a bomb land nearby, but it didnt detonate. She died the same year out of old age, neither war nor holodomor killed her
But yeah, she sat on a bench near the house while being bombed
Chaps has the patience of a saint
I'll tell stories from my deployment to Mexico aiding the Mexican Federales and Mexican National Guard/Marines in their Drug War a few years back tmr
Suffice to say it was a fucked up time
But I got a combat patch so
Nice, I'm sure we all look forward to it
one of my privates almost killed a federales by near beating him to death with a 249
for good reason
Well damn
Cib?
Some old lady and her grandkid were trying to get back into their house on a street we had cordoned off
and we were trying to explain to her there was a drug raid going on next door to her
and to sit tight for a bit
and one of the federales attached to us started yelling and pointing his gun at her and her very young looking grandkid
and then started beating her with his rifle stock
and pistol whipped the kid
that private had gotten fed up of all the shit
and went up and beat the living fuck out of that fucker
We had to stop him from killing the guy
but we all sort of wanted him to kill the guy
Private then went into a deep depression and became an alcoholic after all of that
and tried suiciding a few times
until he got medically chaptered out
some people get broken from seeing this stuff happen in front of them
anyone that hears stories of what happened during the worst of Iraq will tell you similar things
Juarez was fuckin insane
Those federales were run by honest to god war criminals
We also had very loose ROE there as well as to be determined on a platoon by platoon level
so our LT could basically tell us to kill someone and we'd be ok to do it but we all held back
They'd accuse random people of being cartel members with like zero proof
and then go kill or detain and rob them
I didn't really understand what a lot of guys that came back from Afg meant when they said they felt like committing murder
But after Juarez I get it
What they felt when they learnt about the ANA raping little kids
and knowing they couldn't do anything about it
@wendiko no CIB since we weren't officially in combat operations
but we got a patch since it was a danger zone
Well fuck, I knew shit was bad down there, but no one seems to talk aboutnit like that
If there's one thing I learnt from my experiences there it's that a boog in the US is a very undesirable outcome
Because that style of ultraviolence will be here too
and tons and tons of people will die and get hurt that do not in any way deserve it
and I frankly don't want any of my family and friends to have to suffer through similar situations
@thedarkness05 those retards would launch missiles and rockets in the middle of populated cities
the Federales and their National Guard
like imagine any American city like NYC or DC or LA right?
Imagine some Apache coming in launching hellfires at buildings
that's what that was like
fucking insane
I know everyone memes about the boog(except for the tard doomers who actually have nothing to live for) but I'm telling yall that you reaaaaaly don't want that in the US
because chances are, you and everyone you care about will die a horrible, horrible death
Mexicans took a page out of a book of Zarqawi in Iraq with their absolute cruelty to those who opposed them
Tying men, women, and children up by their hands and hanging them like pinatas from roofs of buildings
and then shooting them
or beating them from there
All the shit y'all seeing in Mexico popping off right now is honest to god giving me flashbacks from then
@thedarkness05 We had to stop going to mexico because of the war crimes that the people we were aiding came to light
and it was politically bad
so we just deployed to the border instead and helped out border patrol
You know, I almost went CBP. Cant imagine what it'd be lile down there now
Pretty sure the most horrific vid I can offer the <#621525551768666112> is a Cartel torture vid - shit is absolutely brutal
(and no - they're NOT who you wanna b00l with - they're who's gonna trample your ""postapolcalyptic lybtopia"")
I guarantee you that there will be a large faction of boogbois that will basically do that here
in the case of a boog
I see the absolute psychos online in various /k/ shitposting pages or w/e salivating over the opportunity
When society is thin, civility goes with it
But yeah the current shit has me thinking about what happened when I was down there
man I've made peace with a lot of things but I still have some regrets hounding me from then
