Trying to find a book, canโ€™t remember the name of the title, Iโ€™ll give you all a rundown:

2019-06-30 02:13:56 UTC

Futuristic sci fi. Kinda Altered Carbony. This guy is trying to take out some people and stop a terrorist plot. His conscience is projected into these convicts that are then sent down to these planets. They receive their mission briefing while on the can in their cell. I canโ€™t for the life of me remember the name of the book

2019-07-15 00:02:09 UTC

Hey gang

Dunno how many here are into strategy, but this is an amazing book that looks at Soviet anti-guerilla tactics during the Afghan war

Highly reccomend if you can get your hands on it

Looks like a really informative read, Amazon has it for $25.

How long is the book?

2019-07-15 01:00:04 UTC

Mine is exactly 221 pages, including the intro and glossary in the back

2019-07-15 01:00:18 UTC

Kind of a short book but it's chalked full of info

2019-07-15 01:56:42 UTC

Aww yiss

2019-07-16 14:07:22 UTC

@Henno another metro fan?

2019-07-16 14:08:47 UTC

I've beat 2033 and last light about 20 times each read the books a while back

2019-07-16 14:08:59 UTC

I've beat Exodus about 5 times now

2019-07-16 14:10:56 UTC

I like them all about the same to be honest

2019-07-16 14:11:11 UTC

Probably my favorite or one of my favorite series

2019-07-16 14:11:32 UTC

Exodus is definitely different, but in a good way.

2019-07-16 14:12:27 UTC

I'm poor, and my computer wouldn't be able to play exodus good, so I got it on my Xbox 1 s and it is probably one of the best looking games I've played

2019-07-16 14:50:42 UTC

Welp got me some reading 2 do

2019-07-17 12:41:01 UTC

I haven'tt read that I'll have to give it a look

2019-08-05 00:35:51 UTC

Isn't it the anarchist cookbook?

2019-08-05 01:02:14 UTC

Iโ€™ll check it.

2019-08-05 02:36:47 UTC

Bratva,

A word to the wise; do NOT attempt any recipes you find from the Anarchist Cookbook! All copies in current circulation, including PDFs, have been tampered with by the United States government! Do NOT attempt to purchase one on the internet; you will be red flagged and monitored with heavier consideration!

Stay cheeki breeki,
Alexei

2019-08-05 02:43:29 UTC

I didn't buy a copy

2019-08-05 02:43:36 UTC

Someone passed it to me

2019-08-05 02:43:48 UTC

But i hqvent tried anything

2019-08-05 02:46:22 UTC

But still, learn chemistry by yourself. You don't need a degree, but knowing basic stuff is important so you won't be fooled and try something dangerous

2019-08-05 02:46:33 UTC

And it's not that difficult

2019-09-25 05:03:10 UTC

Due to popular demand, check out Adjustment Day by Chuck Palahniuk

2019-09-30 02:08:44 UTC

@thedarkness05 okay so Nordic paganism (Heathenism / Asatru) i've read a shit ton of books but i'll drop some good books to start with aswell as some videos

2019-09-30 02:09:38 UTC

books: The Poetic Edda - this has all the old mythos and is in oldish English in most translations this is the translation i suggest easy to read and consume

2019-09-30 02:10:52 UTC

next is the havamal odin's wisdom essentially just some tid bits of advice from the all father.

2019-09-30 02:11:42 UTC

Thanks Squid. I've heard of the poetic edda, and even read a few sections of it at one point. The death of Baldur, Lokis imprisonment, Ragnarok, ect. I've been meaning to go through the whole thing

2019-09-30 02:11:57 UTC

this version has a a few different translations side by side and a section for notes very good to use and get an understanding of what he is trying to convey

2019-09-30 02:12:17 UTC

ya there are a shit ton of good stories in it

2019-09-30 02:14:08 UTC

another good book to learn alot of stuff about the religion is A Practical Heathen's Guide to Asatru

2019-09-30 02:14:30 UTC

this covers alot of stuff about the various gods altars and ritual and rune basics

2019-09-30 02:14:47 UTC

also

2019-09-30 02:15:02 UTC

they both do the same things but slightly diffrently

2019-09-30 02:15:33 UTC

take both with a grain of salt when it comes to anything opinion wise

2019-09-30 02:16:50 UTC

these are a great place to start if you want more on certain topics like specific gods / runes etc let me know

2019-09-30 02:17:04 UTC

because i got a whole ass library of shit

2019-09-30 02:17:43 UTC

Will do. And thanks again. I'll get on it in a wek or so. I'm just so busy this month for like no discernable reason

2019-09-30 02:18:09 UTC

also be aware some books and articles have different opinionated views and or wiccan influences which make them pretty off so if you have anything in question let me know and i can give it a look

2019-09-30 02:18:41 UTC

no problem homie i always like helping people start their path, i started and had no one so i just started getting books

2019-09-30 02:18:53 UTC

and learned a shit ton

2019-09-30 02:19:29 UTC

so for videos

2019-09-30 02:19:38 UTC

this guys channel slaps

2019-09-30 02:20:48 UTC

he is a tad left leaning but most of his videos don't even touch politics, so its fine he has a a masters i believe in archology and goes on digs and such for Nordic stuff great source of info

2019-09-30 02:22:19 UTC

I can probably get to that easier, and while I'm not doing too much at work. I'll definitely check him out tonight

2019-09-30 02:22:44 UTC

ya he is easy to listen to and drive/work i listen to his stuff alot while working

2019-09-30 02:22:58 UTC

his rune videos are really good

2019-09-30 02:23:17 UTC

and has alot about the tradition and why they did stuff etc

2019-09-30 02:23:52 UTC

and if you ever need to know something and don't know where to get the info just hmu

2019-10-01 18:00:12 UTC

I got some stuff I can dump

2019-10-01 18:00:15 UTC

real heavy brain shit

2019-10-01 18:00:59 UTC

this is the thing that helped me really dig out who i am and who i wanted to be,to be able to discern well and be aware

2019-10-01 18:02:39 UTC

Anyone here read rage against the modern world

2019-10-17 16:49:30 UTC

*revolt

2019-10-17 19:09:24 UTC

Yes

2019-10-17 21:40:15 UTC

What was your take on it

2019-10-17 21:41:15 UTC

Tbh, I haven't finished it. I have it packed in a box but what I did read, I mean fug. Made a lot of valid points

2019-10-17 21:43:28 UTC

Ya, I'm still in the super esoteric part where hes talking about the reason he covered what he did and so far I just wished he covered it then explained himself, because I agree with some thing and I feel like alot of the points need context

2019-10-17 21:43:54 UTC

I enjoyed his take on scientific intellectuals though

2019-10-17 21:44:02 UTC

Yeah, it's somewhat of a tough read in that aspect tbh

2019-10-17 21:44:24 UTC

Yee, I'm enjoying it thou5

2019-10-17 21:45:09 UTC

No doubt, it was good. He just jumped about too much

2019-10-17 21:50:22 UTC

True that

2019-10-30 22:54:41 UTC

If you like the gist of evola you'll like Nietzsche. I read ride the tiger. It was inspiring but I feel his points were really fucking disparate.
