2019-09-15 20:47:02 UTC

And then after, judge them upon that basis

2019-09-15 20:48:43 UTC

After the kids are high on drugs? Or the parents? ๐Ÿ˜‚

2019-09-15 20:48:55 UTC

Both

2019-09-15 20:50:26 UTC

That's got to be intense, shame a DMT tripping 10 year boy wearing pantyhose, that's some American mid west satanic levels of wtf.

2019-09-15 20:51:21 UTC

DMT?

2019-09-15 21:34:45 UTC

hey, don't knock it till you've tried it, those clockwork elves know how to party

2019-09-16 00:56:23 UTC

Don't know where I would get it. I figure a that we'll have DMT clinics that offer a controlled environment popping up like weed stores before long though

2019-09-16 02:22:05 UTC

Good god, that would be a terrible idea! it would turn into state / corporate run insanity centres.

2019-09-16 02:27:53 UTC

I wouldn't trust some fucking hippy run clinic to control the environment for taking DMT. We are talking about total loss of ego and self, the potential for abuse is astronomical! This is real MKUltra level shit and you want some fucker you don't know controlling the environment? I'll take a pass on that thanks .

2019-09-16 03:09:45 UTC

I just mean a place where you can lock yourself alone in a comfy room and pick the music. That doesn't let you leave while high

2019-09-16 03:10:38 UTC

Like a hookah lounge made out of private booths

2019-09-16 08:36:29 UTC

DMT is a drug that wishes to be shared, it's non-addictive and super intense, probably the most intense we know for now, it's true though, the field of psychology is seriously exploring the usefulness of "mind expanding" drugs, however- it is a super personal one, ego death is for you to explore and self determine what its purpose is, there are commonalities we all have with such things yet personal scrutiny is of most importance, not the advice of some agenda laced "professional." It is the information age, you'll have to either ask locally or find it on your own, I only feel safe saying "dark web" and "Tor browser."

2019-09-16 08:43:29 UTC

I personally believe it can help people with an addiction problem like alcohol, or are super depressed.

2019-09-16 08:46:06 UTC

Also- don't do it alone for your first couple times, you need someone to say "it's just the drugs" when you start to panic screaming "OH GOD I'M DYING, I'M FUCKING DYING!"

2019-09-16 10:23:16 UTC

Or just donโ€™t be a fucking degenerate and stop taking drugs.

2019-09-16 10:26:23 UTC

What is the degeneracy? Sitting in your apartment?

2019-09-16 10:27:24 UTC

I know right, we should all be in an endless state of pursuing success at Elon Musk levels, or be sent to gas chambers. Oh wait- he smokes dope.

2019-09-16 10:30:15 UTC

Nuance, is key, pot is not crack or smack. Nor are tryptamines. Reminds me of the saying "a poor man that drinks alcohol has a problem, a rich man that drinks alcohol has class."

2019-09-16 10:31:45 UTC

Bold faced hypocrisies and idiocies of humanity.

2019-09-16 10:45:02 UTC

Also, you said "fucking" you are by definition, a degenerate in someone's circle somewhere also.

2019-09-16 10:55:42 UTC

I don't think Amy Winehouse was considered classy, and she wasn't even a man, so uhm

2019-09-16 10:57:14 UTC

A pro and con example?

2019-09-16 10:57:35 UTC

I just don't see the validity in the quote

2019-09-16 10:58:42 UTC

Well for Amy, you could say she got a pass on her abuses with the trade off of over compensation in a talent society appreciated, as in the case with most successful artists.

2019-09-16 10:58:59 UTC

No one that I knew defended her drug problems

2019-09-16 10:59:10 UTC

People were worried as hell for her if anything

2019-09-16 11:00:18 UTC

It's a different mentality, if you are a talentless heroin abuser, no one gives a fuck, die in a sewer, if you are a successful heroin abuser "oh I hope they get help, what a tragedy"

2019-09-16 11:00:46 UTC

Point is, either way people are able to see the problem, and they call it out

2019-09-16 11:00:48 UTC

It's about leverage, if you're going to fuck up in this life, better have something to trade with it

2019-09-16 11:01:30 UTC

I'd actually say poor people have some privilege in that regard actually, as the fact that they are poor makes them appear more like victims, whereas rich people "have no excuse cause they have so much shit"

2019-09-16 11:01:44 UTC

But again- nuance is something lacking in a conversation I'd expect from people with zero experience, the conversation was about non-addictive substances, unlike what Amy struggled with.

2019-09-16 11:02:00 UTC

Non-addictive? Weed is addictive no doubt

2019-09-16 11:02:07 UTC

I smoked it for a whole year almost straight

2019-09-16 11:02:11 UTC

I know how it works

2019-09-16 11:02:26 UTC

Have you shot up heroin?

2019-09-16 11:02:36 UTC

No, I was scared of "chemical drugs"

2019-09-16 11:02:58 UTC

I smoke weed when I have access to it, I don't want to rob my fucking parents for money to buy it.

2019-09-16 11:03:17 UTC

That doesn't mean no one who smokes weed is addicted

2019-09-16 11:03:22 UTC

to it

2019-09-16 11:03:46 UTC

In the German language we actually make a distinction between two types of addiction

2019-09-16 11:03:59 UTC

We call it "Sucht" and the other "Abhรคngigkeit"

2019-09-16 11:04:11 UTC

We also do in English

2019-09-16 11:05:00 UTC

Sucht is the simple form of drug abuse that everyone experiences who doesn't *want* to let go, but it's not neccessarily Abhรคngigkeit, which is when you actually *can't* stop because you experirence strong physical withdrawal symptoms

2019-09-16 11:05:25 UTC

E.g. weed falls into the former, whereas heroin falls into the latter

2019-09-16 11:06:01 UTC

So, your life was so boring you used weed to run away, You are German, of course you did.

2019-09-16 11:06:34 UTC

Well it was a number of factors combined that led me into it

2019-09-16 11:06:47 UTC

But my point is, I was addicted

2019-09-16 11:06:58 UTC

Just not strongly addicted, I *could* and eventually *did* stop

2019-09-16 11:07:12 UTC

No worries, I'm Swiss, I know how god damn boring Germanic countries are, sterile and lacking an ounce of personality.

2019-09-16 11:07:25 UTC

idk, I live in Austria

2019-09-16 11:07:45 UTC

I visited Germany many times, but mostly rural areas

2019-09-16 11:07:56 UTC

Those are really nice, although quiet af

2019-09-16 11:08:06 UTC

Same as in Austria I guess

2019-09-16 11:08:09 UTC

1:1 to Swiss, ya I've visited.

2019-09-16 11:08:24 UTC

I love it here, I like the quiet

2019-09-16 11:08:37 UTC

NY would probably destroy my soul

2019-09-16 11:08:47 UTC

We also have people here that get "addicted" to weed...My argument is they really just need more shit to fill their time with.

2019-09-16 11:08:57 UTC

idk, maybe

2019-09-16 11:09:10 UTC

I believe everyone is addicted to something, we just hop from one drug to the other

2019-09-16 11:09:38 UTC

There's a key difference between substance abuse and behavioral addiction though

2019-09-16 11:09:40 UTC

It's either weed, or alcohol, my time in America resembles similar stories of native Americans that are easily alcoholics there.

2019-09-16 11:10:12 UTC

Well

2019-09-16 11:10:19 UTC

I mean what is an addiction, that has been redefined a few times

2019-09-16 11:10:31 UTC

Food is not considered an addiction even though we have to eat at least once a day

2019-09-16 11:10:42 UTC

Weed would be labeled an addiction instantly if we smoked once a day

2019-09-16 11:10:56 UTC

Exactly, the nuance in where we set the goal posts is important.

2019-09-16 11:11:29 UTC

Some say it's whether you can handle your life, if it doesn't disrupt it

2019-09-16 11:11:35 UTC

Like your dreams and goals, your health, etc.

2019-09-16 11:11:56 UTC

I was told by someone "simply having a beer alone makes you an alcoholic" I just had no clue how to respond to that, haha

2019-09-16 11:12:05 UTC

Yeah that's dumb

2019-09-16 11:12:17 UTC

Drinking and being a drunk, big difference

2019-09-16 11:12:34 UTC

In fact some alcohol can boost certain performances

2019-09-16 11:12:42 UTC

Creativity goes up, efficiency goes up, precision goes down

2019-09-16 11:12:56 UTC

Good for writers if they take it in small doses

2019-09-16 11:13:11 UTC

*creative* writers ofc

2019-09-16 11:13:48 UTC

If I'm alone, I know my day is done, but I still have some energy to do something, maybe some art, but I want just a little mental lube, damn straight I'm opening that bottle of red wine.

2019-09-16 11:13:49 UTC

That's why I can't say anything about DMT

2019-09-16 11:13:56 UTC

I think Joe Rogan may have a point, I have no clue

2019-09-16 11:14:08 UTC

I certainly wouldn't just claim outright DMT bad

2019-09-16 11:14:43 UTC

Well, I don't drink alcohol often anymore, but if I had to be creative I think I might have it a bit more

2019-09-16 11:14:54 UTC

I have to be precise, so it's a no-go for me

2019-09-16 11:15:31 UTC

And also I need by emotions to be low at all times during work

2019-09-16 11:15:35 UTC

Alcohol doesn't help that lul

2019-09-16 11:15:44 UTC

Man, these dudes in Switzerland will finish a bottle of vodka, go drink beers at a club, then still drive home.

2019-09-16 11:16:20 UTC

But they are SUPER bored guys, good, simple guys, but bored out of their minds.

2019-09-16 11:16:40 UTC

I mean

2019-09-16 11:16:47 UTC

Alcohol has a tipping point

2019-09-16 11:17:12 UTC

If you drink a little bit, only your precision goes down a bit, your reflexes may actually go up and compensate for your imprecision, but if you drink a lot, both goes down hard

2019-09-16 11:17:55 UTC

That's why there's an alcohol limit for driving

2019-09-16 11:18:14 UTC

You can actually have a sip of wine, that's not criminal (unless your body overreacts)

2019-09-16 11:19:24 UTC

Naah, I will down two bottles of red wine, then take the train to the nearest city, chill out with my buddies, and still let my internal clock kick in on time to go home on the last train.

2019-09-16 11:19:56 UTC

But I am Swiss, we have clocks also in our brains

2019-09-16 11:20:09 UTC

<:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>

2019-09-16 11:20:47 UTC

A country known for clocks, it can't get much nerdier

2019-09-16 11:21:23 UTC

The way I see it, it's like this

2019-09-16 11:21:46 UTC

Problem-drinkers, or generally strongly addicted people, they cause a bad rep to the moderate ones

2019-09-16 11:21:50 UTC

Same as with guns
