those are particularly explode-y
WTF
@Uksio that probably tastes decent
@Uksio Come on bro
@Uksio Why do you hate us?
well i didn't know what the evidence was
but i listed another natural explanation
@Uksio lol
lucienne do you have me blocked
I don't hate nobody
@n meowzers not th thing im talking about
im talking about the site in india
which is not a natural reactor
its evidence for a proper explosion
there are natural reactors
but theyre a completely different thing
youre not going to get a natural nuclear explosion
considering they rely upon enriched uranium
@Uksio cute
CRONK
@Lucienne d'Anwyl
```Atlantisย (Ancient Greek:ย แผฯฮปฮฑฮฝฯแฝถฯ ฮฝแฟฯฮฟฯ, "island ofย Atlas") is aย fictionalย island mentioned within anย allegoryย on theย hubrisย of nations inย Plato's worksย Timaeusย andย Critias,[1]ย where it represents theย antagonistย naval power that besieges "Ancient Athens", theย pseudo-historicย embodiment of Plato's ideal state inย The Republic. In the story, Athens repels the Atlantean attack unlike any other nation of theย known world,[2]ย supposedly giving testament to the superiority of Plato's concept of a state.[3][4]ย The story concludes with Atlantis falling out of favor with the deities and submerging into theย Atlantic Ocean.```
@Gservator if you want to get really spastic you could claim atlantis as the homeland of the sea peoples
@Lucienne d'Anwyl it's an allegory
plato isnt exactly the only one to speak of atlantis either
its not necessarily real but it could be
@Lucienne d'Anwyl who spoke of it prior to Plato other than refering to an Island Atlas was on?
@Lucienne d'Anwyl oh yeah, it was first told by Plato
As an allegory
Plato claimed to have been told the story by an Egyptian priest.
if you discount the concept of some kind of water bound civilization succumbing from other places
the name isnt exactly important
and lost civilizations are found all the time
you could definitely make the case for quite a few of the mysterious places in myths being simply over-stylized (though true)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mythological_places
-Brasil/Hy-Brasil was probably an actual place
-El Dorado was probably a place too (though it's more than likely the case that the Natives just overhyped a place so the Spaniards would just fuck right off)
-Hawaiki was probably also a place (as IIRC, the Polynesians dispersed into various directions from a single island)
-Aztlรกn might have also been a place somewhere in Northern or Southern Mexico
theres that one lost civilization
in the amazon?
i think
that they eventually found topographical evidence
that they believe proves there was something there
vaguely, ye
but it was probably a bit overhyped, I reckon
with modern technology
things are a wonder
specifically there is now a way for them to take aerial photographs
of jungle
I do vaguely recall hearing of that, though
and use them to determine evidence of stone ruins
i want to say
@Lucienne d'Anwyl have you heard about those alleged ruins off the coast of Japan, hidden under like....10-20 feet of water?
Shaker her I dare you
you should look up the lost city of z
i have not
but there are a bunch of underwaer ruins in the pacifc yes?
i think theres literally smooth seabed there
postulated to be roads
now none of this is necessarily indicative of aliens
but its certainly interesting stuff
@Anavultus actually scholars believe he took inspiration for Atlantis from tbe Egyptian stories of the eruption of Thera, there are no record s stating he heard of Atlantis from an Egyptian cleric, that is a myth perpetuated by "believers"
@Lucienne d'Anwyl The Dagons actually have the best case for Aliens IIRC
dagons?
ye
African tribesmen
cant say im familiar with the term outside of fiction
they have these tales about these intelligent fish people
Marine geologist Masaaki Kimura claims that the formations are man-made stepped monoliths.[1] These claims have been described as pseudoarchaeological.
