interestingly enough, the japanese government has set forth some pretty hefty regulations on games that do the random roll loot box/gacha style systems
im curious as to how familiar you are with exactly how gambling happens in csgo
i've only seen videos on it, I don't play myself.
ok
so the enabling factor on valve's end is literally the simple ability to trade skins with other players
you can trade/gift cool jpegs with other steam users
every other piece of this vile evil you want to regulate is 3rd party and valve has no control over it
though i am assuming you're bandwagoning against things like csgodiamonds/ebets and not just loot crates in general
I haven't signed it, I'm only giving it out because I know some people have trouble with it.
if my assumption is bad, i apollogise
i'm not looking for a debate on this.
of course you arent
you found a witch, and its time to light a pyre
I fail to see what you're getting at. I haven't signed the petition.
so, you arent promoting the petition?
For those interested sure.
As I said, if you don't agree, don't sign it.
you dont find it at all disingenuous to promote government action on a topic you admittedly are ill informed on?
I'll delete it if it bothers you this much.
I just found it interesting. I'm not ill informed, I have seen videos on the subject.
its not the content itself that bothers me
its hard to put into words
idk man, you do you
it feels like you're saying 'i dont see whats so bad about blacks' and you live in the hamptons, you dont have a dog in the fight that you're promoting
the regulation you're stumping doesnt effect you personally, and your information is from youtube videos
I play other games that bring gambling into the game.
examples?
Payday 2
like im trying to get a fix on what you consider gambling
are loot boxes gambling?
I see them as slot machines since a key costs about 1 euro and the boxes range in price, but you can end up with some pretty big "wins"
ok
see, i was misunderstanding you
If they are mated with microtrasactions, they are close to gambling. If money can be made off of the contents, it's certainly gambling.
in csgo there are actual 3rd party odds based vegas styled gambling sites
I've deleted the petition
Well, the link.
i would support the banning of loot box style play in games not rated M/PEGI 18
I have a couple dogs in this fight, but my only real issue is the way it's presented and subversively implemented in games that younger kids play.
yes, there i agree
granted i am of the belief that targeting children through marketing is fairly slimy
The petition wasn't targetting CS:GO specifically.
god only knows how much of my college fund was spent on gi joes and mutant turtles
Anyway, I'm going to go read. I have a bunch of new books to read.
I have issues with them being in full priced games as well, but not on the same grounds, it's value issue there.
games have gotten p. bad
i still find it hard to support more regulation of any kind
you're never getting that power back
2013-14 was the beginning of bad games
Regulation should exist to prevent predatory or fraudulent behavior, that's about it.
The question is whether these practices are predatory.

we have a jew in our midst!
thank god, i need financial advice
crypto is your answer!
i feel like before i could do more than dabble in the invisible fake money as opposed to the paper fake money, i would need to see proof of someone taking paper money, investing in crypto, then ending up with a paper money profit
i bought my car with bitcoin, does that count?
with bitcoin raw, at a dealship?
from a guy selling his car
asked him if hed take bitcoin
he said fuck yea ill take bitcoin
sold
yeah
also i pay for all my food delivereis with bitcoin
if you dont mind my asking a personal question, what is the most btc you've ever converted back into physical currency, be it usd/euro/yen/whatever
the biggest food delivery service in poland takes bitcoin
i paid 3 btc for the car
that was when they were like 1200 dollars a piece
car was 4k, but he was happy to take a dip on the price for getting crypto
i do the same, i give people 15% off on my services if they pay crypto
but converting back into real money
most i ever did was 500 euros
to show my dad how easy it is
<#359543739393245193>
also, 'real' money is subjective lol

My only fear about moving to the Northwest is Yellowstone. What if we were succesful in establishing our ethnostate, only for Yellowstone to blow and wipe us all out?
thats extremely unlikely to happen in our lifetime
Hopefully by then the other colonies will have successfully setup, so we could move and start a new.
So a realistic guess, when would be the best time to establish a colony/ethnostate, in your guys opinion?
ie waiting for some big event to occur or something
Because I'm 19 and it's one of my goals in life for my children to grow up in a white village/ethnostate
depends on the readiness of our members
the sooner the better
