Red Alert:
The Florida State Legislature has just approved Amendment IV - The Right for Felons to Vote Act to be on the November ballot after the nigger rights supporting the measure claimed it got around 800k signatures on its petition. The GOP-controlled State legislature is thinking of passing a bill that will restore the nigger's rights only if jewdge grants his/her approval. If not, this amendment requires, I believe, a two-thirds majority (if not just sixty percent) to officially pass so it's a tough sell, but it's Florida - there's enough cucked-up people down here for it to pass.
We good
Yay
Thank God
phew
a 'conservative democrat' with a career as an astronaut, but still a faggot shill for "muh Russia"
these people
the intelligence community undermines its own integrity by making mass surveillance programs to spy on its citizens and sabotaging political opponents
I can't stand that bastard Nelson!
how many people do you know IRL are voting against him this November
Almost everyone
Try carpooling to where you're voting
that hispanic demographic is high relative to the rest of the country
that looks similar to the general approval
4 out of 10 latino voters support Trump, pretty suprising
I think he got 32% of the overall hispanic vote in the election
correct
Not as good as dubya's margins, but blows McCain and Romney out of the water
And Reagan for that matter
I made another copypasta to replace my old one for Bill Nelson
(Florida -- Bill Nelson)
>Three Term Senator, first elected in 2000 with 51%, Re-elected in 2006 with 60, Re-elected in 2012 with 55%
>Moderate Democrat, Trump Score: 39.3%

Potential Ways of Taking Him Down
According to the Issues:
He believes the Russia LARP. Calls the memo a victory for Putin. He needs to be targeted as a deranged dumbass or conniving traitor who propagates the idiotic Russian conpsiracy theory, which will alienate him with moderates.
is probably going to face Rick Scott in the primaries, who is relatively popular in Florida
Demographically:
>GOP candidate needs to get turnout high in the Panhandle, other rural white areas in FL, and suburban areas by making multiple live appearances in those places
>GOP candidate needs to court the Cuban vote, and enough of the Puerto Rican vote so that it doesnโt make a difference
>GOP candidate needs to win over moderates and independents by beating Nelson in a debate, spending millions of dollars on ads and GOTV
what are your thoughts
It's more informational than the last one
conveys the scenario more comprehensively
use it
"In a hypothetical U.S. Senate matchup, Governor Rick Scott leads incumbent Senator Bill Nelson 44% to 34% with 22% undecided."
I know it's late but for whatever reason I woke up at this time of night
Another interesting factor is approval rating
Scott has seen his favorability go from 49 A 39 D (+10 pts) in November to 52 A 34 D (+18 pts).
Meanwhile Nelson has seen the reverse happen, with 45 A 22 D (+23 pts) in November to 40 A 27 D (+13 pts).
This means Rick Scott is now both more popular and (presumably as the Governor of the state) more recognizable than Bill Nelson. If he's considering a run, we may just chalk this in the "win" column.
Who is running for FL
hopefully Scott
YEA BOI LORD VOLDIMORT
Tfw I don't have a pic of Scott on my phone
you from Russia?
No
So American?
This was a meme name because I played arma 2 and WG Red dragon
Ah
And a ALB
BlueMidterm2018 seems to be trying to tell themselves that Nelson has a solid chance
"I think there are several factors that will help Nelson this year. As someone who spends his time between a bustling university town and a more suburban area, I have seen and met tons of new Puerto Rican arrivals. Iโve been trying to advertise that you can register to vote online because they are still settling in and registering to vote is not on the top of their list of priorities. Most people that I talk to, however, are fired up. Even my conservative Cuban family is planning on voting Democratic because theyโre sick of the racism coming from the White House. With the governor of Puerto Rico vowing to campaign hard against the Republican Party, I think the effect will only get bigger."
hmmmm
@FLanon what are your thoughts
I think I've made my position on the Puerto Rico problem quite clear, the "conservative cuban family voting dem because racism" line is bullshit. Cubans, at least in my sphere of influence, are the most anti-nonwhite kind of people you could ever know. They don't give a fuck about Haiti and see the NFL players as a bunch of rat bastards. If I remember, they had one of the most pro-Trump ethnic demographics in the election.
so you think the guy claiming he comes from a conservative Cuban family is an outlier (or even making shit up?)
Trump's net approval in Florida is +5 (!) according to Morning Consult
Cubans that came here were probably the castizos
Definitely
The mestizos and indios and negros probably have it better in cuba now
or at least they have no one to blame but themselves now
Lot of Galician immigrants that went to Cuba and left when Castro came along
I don't see any right wing Cuban-Americans ever going against Trump because of racism
I honestly believe they're making that up
I think Cuba had some sort of unspoken caste or something to that effect
@FLanon I wouldn't put it past a redditfag to make something up for le upboats
I remember they were saying the same thing on r/politics during 2016. They said the Cubans wouldn't vote for Trump because of solidarity with Mexicans
HAHA
That's fucking hilarious, Cubans HATE mexicans
It may be a pride thing, but a lot of them see the mexicans as ungrateful
That is what I told them! I got in a big argument with them. I said all they have in common is the same language. It would be like an Americans standing in solidarity with Jamaicans because both nations speak English.
Culture is deeper than language is the thing
Reddit fags don't get that
Leftist lack critical thinking skills
Lot of legitimate refugees from back in the day that came, they get pissed off at the la raza bullshit
They see "Hispanic" and think free Democrat Vote
I don't think the new wave of cuban migrants is good whatsoever, I think all the anti-communists have packed up and left
@๐Boo-ton๐ +5? In a state this purple? Damn.
I think that having the Governor of Puerto Rico touring Florida talking about replacement migration and how it will turn Florida Blue will help us
Fuck these people, really.
It's crazy how openly they talk about replacing the electorate nowadays
So is Florida crawling with them now?
They've had some for a while
The diaspora already's gone everywhere
But anyways, that's enough ranting for one day, the data atm is pretty whitepilling
Scott at 44 to 34 w/ Nelson, his approval rising and Nelson's falling
If he's going to run, I have it on good faith he'll win.
Fuck what Reddit thinks
Ugh
I'm hearing from a lot of Florida anons that they didn't know about the special election
disturbing
that's the thing
on the bright side, the left is trying to push the narrative that the Dems' overperformance is due to Trump losing support, but really it's because GOP voters aren't hearing about the state legislature special elections while reeeesisters are pissed enough to spread the news and go out to vote
Huh, was there a school shooting today?
yep
Apparently it happened some place out near Miami
Well, that sucks
hopefuly the Valentine's Day shooting doesn't affect Scott's chances
please,
If it did it'd be in the other direction
the news cycle moves so fast, everyone will forget about this
you just know Nelson will capitalize on this
@๐Boo-ton๐ hopefully
I'm not so sure
Like @๐Boo-ton๐ said.
Also, from the info I gathered, it doesn't look like anyone's died because of it, not yet at least, so I don't think there'll be a national argument like in Vegas or Texas.
But, like I was saying, usually the approval ratings go up during a tragedy, you remember 9/11 and what it did for Bush?
It won't be monumental though
Shooting identified as a Cuban-American
Nicolas Cruz
Huh
either White or White Hispanic
Well, then
This was out in Broward county so it was an increased possibility
Oh wait, got some info wrong
Apparently there's many casualties, no numbers given
At least 20 injured
Damn
christ
yea, good thing Cramer jumped back in the ND race
That's fucked up
Did he?
yea, he annouced two days ago
Increased fields of candidates are good, this with Cramer considering a run, ND may be a win
Cramer,
that's who I meant
Ah, okay
As far as I can see, the only news I see is him considering a run
whats the likelyhood of florida fliping blue?
In the Senate?
Or are you talking about the presidency?
@govenator Bill Nelson, the Florida senator up for reelection, is a Democrat
if the economy continues to improve by 2020, Trump should win Florida by even greater margins
ok
same thing goes for all the other states he won in 2016
It should at this rate
if he brings manufacturing back to the rust belt, there's a good chance he flips Minnesota
is florida safe in congress
if things go really, really well I think we could flip states like New York. Shifts like that have happened before
House-wise I think there's one seat that could flip, Senate-wise, we WANT it to flip
in 1980, Ronald Reagan had 40% in Georgia, then in 1984 he had 60%
It's much more polarized nowadays is the thing
Democrat voters can change their minds
no one is impervious to influence
In any case, Trump apparently has a +5 approval rating in FL, which is a good sign, with the Dem senator's approval dropping and the potential Senate candidate and current governor's approval rising
Rick Scott now has a higher net popularity than Bill Nelson, and is easily more recognizable.
It's very purple, but recent news is leading me to believe it's trending somewhat more reddish-purple.
More info on the shooter
His instagram: โชinstagram.com/cruz_nikolas/โฌ
I think that it was taken down
it is not showing up for me
Huh, maybe this one'll work
it works
alright
is the motive known?
Not yet
Looks like an angry kid to me tbh
yeah
what weapons did he use?
Not sure that's been disclosed yet
These posts are old too
yeah
Latest one's from jan. 2016
was just wondering cause of the pictures of knives along with the shotgun
Apparently there's some doubt if that account is the shooter
Shit it got taken down
Got a pic though
As many as 7 deaths, shooter used a rifle, but had a handgun
19 years old
7 deaths confirmed ?
As many as, so less than or equal to I assume
Oof
I have 2 friends at the school, both safe
He seems Cuban
wowwwww
@TrippyTurtle what a coincidence
do you know anyone who knows the guy
No
Oof
"Nicolas de Jesus Cruz"
Lmao that's like the most hispanic name ever
The dude looks pretty white so I would say Cuban
Yeah, probably
Fuggin Cubans
Huh, wow, is that reliable?
Just go to the Florida voter registration website
It's really easy in Florida because all they ask for is Name and Date of Birth
Huh
@TrippyTurtle Did you go to that HS yourself ?
No, my high school is in the city next to it
The fucker is confirmed hispanic
so, what should our narrative be @FLanon @TrippyTurtle
"hispanic Democrat with mental issues" ?
I'm just wondering if mabye his parents might of been DACA
Or something
if they are, we'll find out
narratives, huh
the thing about the news cycle is in a week this'll be a distant memory
for better or for worse
In any case, spread it around.
I live very close to it, like I can see helecoppters flying around and shit so in my are this will be talked about a lot
@TrippyTurtle Your congressman is Debbie Wasserman-Schultz right ? I suppose your area was always going to stay Democratic regardless
How do I know who my congressman is
considering you live out near broward it can't be very good
Both of the ones it showed me we're dems
well, what's their names
Debbie and Alcee
first and last?
nvm, you have Debbie Wasserman Shultz and Alcee Hastings
wew
Well, Hasting's district is D+31 and Schultz's district is D+11
In other words, they won't be unseated.
Not unless we have a miracle red hurricane scenario.
I don't even know what fucking district I'm in because of how fucking gerrymandered it is
Yeah, there's maps you can look at
My city looks like it's in the middle of two different districts
lemme see if this helps
I live somewhere there
Huh, damn
You really are in the middle
@TrippyTurtle if your friends can go into specific detail as to what the shooting was like from their perspective, it would be appreciated
I wonder if he targeted specific people or demographics
I mean my school was in a separate city but my friends said that they hid in a closet. While I was in school I learned about the shooting at like 3:00. My school was not on lockdown but all after school activities where canceled
One of my friends says he knows a dude who got shot in the chest, he is still in ER
My friends said he never saw the actual shootings or dead people but saw videos of it
The nearby middle school was stuck on lockdown for a while longer
There were some of the messages my friend sent me:
@TrippyTurtle can we post them on /pol/
Sure
My other friend didn't have his phone with him but he was confirmed safe after my dad talked to his dad and picked him up.
I'm noticing some librals start claiming that the shooter was a white supremacist
How is that even remotely true
HOLUP
