"In a hypothetical U.S. Senate matchup, Governor Rick Scott leads incumbent Senator Bill Nelson 44% to 34% with 22% undecided."
I know it's late but for whatever reason I woke up at this time of night
Another interesting factor is approval rating
Scott has seen his favorability go from 49 A 39 D (+10 pts) in November to 52 A 34 D (+18 pts).
Meanwhile Nelson has seen the reverse happen, with 45 A 22 D (+23 pts) in November to 40 A 27 D (+13 pts).
This means Rick Scott is now both more popular and (presumably as the Governor of the state) more recognizable than Bill Nelson. If he's considering a run, we may just chalk this in the "win" column.
Who is running for FL
hopefully Scott
YEA BOI LORD VOLDIMORT
Tfw I don't have a pic of Scott on my phone
you from Russia?
No
So American?
This was a meme name because I played arma 2 and WG Red dragon
Ah
And a ALB
BlueMidterm2018 seems to be trying to tell themselves that Nelson has a solid chance
"I think there are several factors that will help Nelson this year. As someone who spends his time between a bustling university town and a more suburban area, I have seen and met tons of new Puerto Rican arrivals. I’ve been trying to advertise that you can register to vote online because they are still settling in and registering to vote is not on the top of their list of priorities. Most people that I talk to, however, are fired up. Even my conservative Cuban family is planning on voting Democratic because they’re sick of the racism coming from the White House. With the governor of Puerto Rico vowing to campaign hard against the Republican Party, I think the effect will only get bigger."
hmmmm
@FLanon what are your thoughts
I think I've made my position on the Puerto Rico problem quite clear, the "conservative cuban family voting dem because racism" line is bullshit. Cubans, at least in my sphere of influence, are the most anti-nonwhite kind of people you could ever know. They don't give a fuck about Haiti and see the NFL players as a bunch of rat bastards. If I remember, they had one of the most pro-Trump ethnic demographics in the election.
so you think the guy claiming he comes from a conservative Cuban family is an outlier (or even making shit up?)
Trump's net approval in Florida is +5 (!) according to Morning Consult
Cubans that came here were probably the castizos
Definitely
The mestizos and indios and negros probably have it better in cuba now
or at least they have no one to blame but themselves now
Lot of Galician immigrants that went to Cuba and left when Castro came along
I don't see any right wing Cuban-Americans ever going against Trump because of racism
I honestly believe they're making that up
I think Cuba had some sort of unspoken caste or something to that effect
@FLanon I wouldn't put it past a redditfag to make something up for le upboats
I remember they were saying the same thing on r/politics during 2016. They said the Cubans wouldn't vote for Trump because of solidarity with Mexicans
HAHA
That's fucking hilarious, Cubans HATE mexicans
It may be a pride thing, but a lot of them see the mexicans as ungrateful
That is what I told them! I got in a big argument with them. I said all they have in common is the same language. It would be like an Americans standing in solidarity with Jamaicans because both nations speak English.
Culture is deeper than language is the thing
Reddit fags don't get that
Leftist lack critical thinking skills
Lot of legitimate refugees from back in the day that came, they get pissed off at the la raza bullshit
