Im just going to rip my comment on This Week in Stupid on Cortez: I honestly think Cortez has good intentions but a very poor ideology and methodology to achieve the goals that people might actually support. I do admire her ability to take the campaigning to the streets, because that is how you get more turnout at the end of the day, and i speak from the experience of a campaign canvasser when i say that. I also agree with getting corruption and to some extent lobbyists out of government/congress. However her push for the more unrealistic policies such as medicare for all (which is being adopted by Dems in general, although most will likely only pay lip service) and Free public college. I think making public college more AFFORDABLE is more realistic and has multiple avenues to achieve. As for Medicare I dont mind having a government option but private should still be an option, emphasis on OPTION. But yea Cortez is naive and if she wins she will likely be humbled in congress. Just my thoughts as an American.
