Well yeah, when he actually chats with us everyone wants to get their word in
But then it seems to die down most of the time
LOL yeah hahah ofcourse PRAISE THE SUN LORD
like "brahh ahha u must really like swimming man to be named tim pool"
Did you say... https://i.ytimg.com/vi/eHgNXBP_Jwc/maxresdefault.jpg
XD
@Deleted User that vid is pretty dank, i wonder if theyre not active anymore becasue liek that girl who sings left and started her own carrer or something imma look it up
ok nah they prolly jus chillen
the lady and the main dudegot married on new year eve of this year i think
prolly working on an album slowly too i mean when u get a billboard #1 people tend to let you do what the fuck you want as long as the next album comes out when the next contractual deadline is
Too bad, I don't think they're gonna be successful again
Like the other indie rock one hit wonders this decade
tbh their song got played SO MUCH im sure they fuckign made bank on those royalties
Yea
and are like FUCK FINALLY AFTER 4 ALBUMS
I miss Bastille
so they can just play shows at big festivals
and bank on that and tour with big acts that have draw
I like how they went to the Grammy's and said hail satan
ride the coattails of that one song everyone on th eplanet knows
XD wow hahah thats great
It's sad, the band made really good songs before feel it still
the amount of metal bands that would fucking sacrifice all teh goats on earth to be able to do that XD
say hail satan at the grammies
that is
Kinda miss when rock was supposed to be the rebelling
But I dont miss being told what I listened to was satanic.
I'm too young to remember those days
I was really young then, so I guess stuff like that wasnt meant for me anyway
Now rock is super mainstream
Hasn't helped
I have a theory
The easier it becomes to produce music
The worse the overall quality will become
Not quite
Its actually just marketing
Though difficulty does play a role
I mean, you strive for the biggest group.
Basically people respond best to generic noise
I think there is some intelligence required to know which noises appeals to the biggest group
I think its not that its become easier
I think that 4'33" is the pinnacle of modern music
But that its become quantifiable
It's been downhill since then
All genres slowly mush together and louder volume trumps finesse
For example in the 70s and 80s, you had to put in hours and hours of improvisation, get an orchestra, carefully plan everything
So at the end, it was harder to fuck up,
Now, get a dude, give him 10 hours on FL studio
I mean, the Beatles were still 4chords for the most part
Write lyrics, put in shitton of autotune
Throw shit at the wall until something sticks
Well, a lot of the mainstream bands these days all contract out to the same lyrics-writing agency as well
Same fucking people dude
Back in the 70's, 80's, and even into the 90's, people wrote their own lyrics
So whats good then?
If anything, the "good" ones are not as visible?
Lemme interject
WANNA KNOW WHY OLD MUSIC SEEMED BETTER?
@GingaBomber yes
THE BAD SHIT NEVER GOT HEARD
Yep!
the bad shit never sold records
and now, the bad shit can be put online for everyone
blessings and curses people
But the shit that people pay for is also bad
ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ
So what you're saying, ZQKing, is that ignorance is bliss
has there been a dip in creativity?
sure
Like people pay for a Tidal subscription
Does that mean today's msuic is shit?
not wytiwe
FOR TRAP MUSIC
TRAP.MUSIC
Ill just be happy with Sabaton then
People literally give 10 dollars a month for trap music
> Allow Revan to send you file "music.virus"? (y/N)
I think "our" generation just has little to actually write about, in the west at least
I havent listened to heavy metal for a while
The people that are real under ground are really good
Makes sense, Sabaton had to get material from the medieval times to WW2
Like the struts
haha to be honest there are some pretty fucking dope ass musicians that actually have pursued their craft for the sake of their art
Also obligatory RIP Nujabes
Check em out, they're like queen https://youtu.be/ARhk9K_mviE
Oh absolutely
You know, heard of Carpenter Brut?
Glam rock
Tosin Abasi is a baller
Very few actually seen him, and he does not put himself on pics or marketing
Even though I'm not a huge fan of djent
like there are so manny musicians that have dedicated their lives to their instruments
yeah ive fucking met tosin before
Like Hugh laurie
I'm off for the night
o7
That guy's great
He does music?
Later
And people like Michael bauble
