his wording implies that he thinks the dems retconned reality

2018-09-13 16:03:04 UTC

Basically "yeah they're dead but it's not **my** fault so whatever", which doesn't exactly make one look good.

2018-09-13 16:03:06 UTC

If I recall the governor of PR refused to outlaw a truckers strike during the Maria recovery.

2018-09-13 16:04:05 UTC

The pile of water is just astounding when you think about it. FEMA moved thousands of tons of bottled water to PR and handed it over to locals who ***FUCKING FORGOT ABOUT IT***

2018-09-13 16:04:33 UTC

"Hey what's that giant pile of water doing there?"
"I dunno. Not my problem"

2018-09-13 16:04:49 UTC

@King Canuck lol that would cost you about six dollars here. Good deal

2018-09-13 16:05:06 UTC

Worse than Ray Nagin not using the school buses to evacuate people.

2018-09-13 16:05:08 UTC

what the bracelet?

2018-09-13 16:05:12 UTC

yeah, It's nice

2018-09-13 16:05:18 UTC

Worth the two bucks

2018-09-13 16:07:29 UTC

Is trump playing forth dimensional chess again?

2018-09-13 16:08:15 UTC

no, he's too busy summoning hurricanes with his dark magic

2018-09-13 16:08:44 UTC

the washington post said so, so it must be true

2018-09-13 16:09:32 UTC

I think he expects the cleanup from Florence to go much more smoothly than Maria.

2018-09-13 16:10:18 UTC

And the idea is to shove all the blame for Maria onto the PR government. Kinda pointless.

2018-09-13 16:10:20 UTC

I’m we have better infrastructure sooooo

2018-09-13 16:10:25 UTC

“Better”

2018-09-13 16:11:17 UTC

I think he realizes that regardless of the competency of the PR government, he did not do enough to ensure that the aftermath was handled properly.

2018-09-13 16:11:50 UTC

If there was not enough transportation or heavy machinery available, he could've sent in marines or national guard.

2018-09-13 16:13:03 UTC

Expect overcompensation after Florence. Photo ops galore.

2018-09-13 16:14:56 UTC

As a Puerto Rican

2018-09-13 16:15:06 UTC

And a current Floridian

2018-09-13 16:15:12 UTC

Who deals with hurricanes all the time

2018-09-13 16:15:16 UTC

He’s right

2018-09-13 16:15:29 UTC

And I get where he’s coming from

2018-09-13 16:15:36 UTC

The democrats are right also in their own way

2018-09-13 16:15:57 UTC

The thing is the dems are being disingenuous because all they care about doing is calling him wrong and a racist

2018-09-13 16:16:43 UTC

When he says “a few dozen died because of the hurricane” he’s referring to direct death caused by the hurricane immediately

2018-09-13 16:16:49 UTC

I see Elon Musk avatar

2018-09-13 16:16:51 UTC

The dems never bother making this distinction

2018-09-13 16:16:52 UTC

Reminds me

2018-09-13 16:17:04 UTC

His compulsive nodding during that interview

2018-09-13 16:17:07 UTC

Reminded me

2018-09-13 16:17:23 UTC

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/463054787336732683/489831972949065754/nth2.gif

2018-09-13 16:17:37 UTC

The dems don’t care about having a real discussion they just want to smear shit all over the place

2018-09-13 16:18:06 UTC

So it pisses me off when I hear the dems being disingenuous and using Puerto Rican deaths for political gain

2018-09-13 16:18:15 UTC

As a Puerto Rican it pisses me off even more

2018-09-13 16:19:08 UTC

Now when it comes to trump he said Puerto Rican’s are basically just Mexicans or some shit

2018-09-13 16:19:14 UTC

So he can fuck himself too

2018-09-13 16:19:17 UTC

Just not for this

2018-09-13 16:21:09 UTC

What I would like to see is a proper investigation of what happened and the development of better plans for distribution of aid in the future. Identify local government resources, identify what local private resources can be appropriated, make plans for getting local volunteers to help, and make plans for filling any shortfall in local distribution infrastructure with national guard (or failing that, marines). Instead we're getting political shit-flinging.
