he's legitimately trying to say that the democrats lied about almost 3000 deaths just to make him look bad
Despite a commissioned report & Puerto Rico's governor raising the official death toll.
ro posted an excerpt from an article earlier that shows he may not be completely wrong in his facts

Those directly killed number only in the dozens, with most of the deaths coming from the mismanaged aftermath.
I'd still count that as deaths from the hurricane, personally, but you've made a good point
What he ***wants*** the media to do is point this out, then immediately he'll start tweeting about the mountains of wasted supplies sent to PR
Like the 8 bazillion bottles of water they just found, or the untold shipping containers full of food that is just rotting on docks.

I don't think it's a particularly good idea though. Makes him look callous.
his wording implies that he thinks the dems retconned reality
Basically "yeah they're dead but it's not **my** fault so whatever", which doesn't exactly make one look good.
If I recall the governor of PR refused to outlaw a truckers strike during the Maria recovery.
The pile of water is just astounding when you think about it. FEMA moved thousands of tons of bottled water to PR and handed it over to locals who ***FUCKING FORGOT ABOUT IT***
"Hey what's that giant pile of water doing there?"
"I dunno. Not my problem"
@King Canuck lol that would cost you about six dollars here. Good deal
Worse than Ray Nagin not using the school buses to evacuate people.
what the bracelet?
yeah, It's nice
Worth the two bucks
no, he's too busy summoning hurricanes with his dark magic
the washington post said so, so it must be true
I think he expects the cleanup from Florence to go much more smoothly than Maria.
And the idea is to shove all the blame for Maria onto the PR government. Kinda pointless.
Iām we have better infrastructure sooooo
āBetterā
I think he realizes that regardless of the competency of the PR government, he did not do enough to ensure that the aftermath was handled properly.
If there was not enough transportation or heavy machinery available, he could've sent in marines or national guard.
Expect overcompensation after Florence. Photo ops galore.
As a Puerto Rican
And a current Floridian
Who deals with hurricanes all the time
Heās right
And I get where heās coming from
The democrats are right also in their own way
The thing is the dems are being disingenuous because all they care about doing is calling him wrong and a racist
When he says āa few dozen died because of the hurricaneā heās referring to direct death caused by the hurricane immediately
I see Elon Musk avatar
The dems never bother making this distinction
Reminds me
