I'm thinking about getting a Thinkpad T420

8GB RAM, DVD-RW, a big SSD

For about $200-300

think pads are okay i guess, support for them is a pain in the ass

lenovo is a pain in the ass to work with sometimes

I can fix my own hardware

but as long as you dont care about that its a decent laptop
