His theory is that she lied in couple's therapy to cover up something she didn't want her partner to know, but wanted to have an unfalsifiable lie so she didn't specify details. Then the subject of her lie is in the news years later and her partner is like "isn't that the guy you mentioned in therapy? we can't let him be confirmed!"
