2018-09-19 12:22:34 UTC

"Barnier still wants Northern Ireland to be treated as a separate customs jurisdiction from the rest of the United Kingdom."

2018-09-19 12:23:22 UTC

I am so looking forward what "compromise" will they cook in the end

2018-09-19 12:23:22 UTC

2018-09-19 12:23:42 UTC

Ni increasingly pro leave of uk

2018-09-19 12:23:47 UTC

According to polls

2018-09-19 12:23:48 UTC

@Timcast "Is this what they all wanted? Vox, NYT, Buzzfeed journos all sharing that study that is rife with factual errors."

They don't care. This is not about truth. This is about power. These journalists sharing this document are giving it credibility, and the point of giving it credibility is to allow it to be used as a lobbying tool. They want to be able to point to this document to say "this is why you should ban people we don't like" - including you.

2018-09-19 12:23:56 UTC

hopefully this pushing from the EU will make the union stronger...

2018-09-19 12:24:23 UTC

And please don't refer to this as a study. There is no academic validity to this. No academic or journalistic standard. It's just a hit list.

***It's just about power***

2018-09-19 12:24:37 UTC

was that from Twitter?

2018-09-19 12:24:40 UTC

Yeah i said that too atkins

2018-09-19 12:24:45 UTC

Tim on the warpath this morning?

2018-09-19 12:24:46 UTC

Tim is falling into their trap.

2018-09-19 12:24:50 UTC

It had shit methodology

2018-09-19 12:25:07 UTC

Its like some bachelor's project

2018-09-19 12:25:16 UTC

He's giving them the benefit of the doubt, and acting as if they are credible journalists who have made an error.

2018-09-19 12:25:20 UTC

i keep forgetting there is a twitter feed bot in here

2018-09-19 12:25:43 UTC

But even assuming they've made an error is assuming they have good intentions. They do not. They have put you on their hit list.

2018-09-19 12:26:04 UTC

open society funded

2018-09-19 12:26:08 UTC

These are not stupid people. They are not ignorant of journalistic ethics, ***they just don't care about them***.

2018-09-19 12:26:12 UTC

1984 in 2018 woo hoo here we go!

2018-09-19 12:26:51 UTC

im betting that list will start getting taken out by next month, they will let the hubbub of the story die down, possibly

2018-09-19 12:26:52 UTC

It is confusing to me too

2018-09-19 12:27:09 UTC

There was no error, the Open Society Foundation and Media Matters got the exact results they paid for.

2018-09-19 12:27:12 UTC

Who peer review that "study" ?

2018-09-19 12:27:22 UTC

It's not a mistake. It's not an oversight. It's not them being tricked or misinformed. This hit list was compiled the way it was compiled intentionally, and they're sharing and promoting it to give it the credibility it needs to be wielded against you.

2018-09-19 12:27:30 UTC

Otherwise you can call anything a study
