Unions make it very hard to fire people who are poor at their job, which in the public sector means tax dollars are being wasted on people who can't be fired (not to mention Unions demanding pention plans despite the fact that the private sector has done away with them because they are unsustainable)

More over, it means the voter has less control over who works in the government as the Unions control that
