I mean c'mon.
Theres a certain level of denial though to those bikers,
theres no way they'd not have heard anything bad about ISIS
I guess but, ignorance really doesn't excuse anyone?
I follow a different path though so I'm not sure why a lot of people do the things they do
Who said they weren't bad people?
people get into debt, they go day hiking without enough food and water
They probably assumed all the stories about ISIS was from islamiphobia
they bike through islamic countries without complying with societal norms
Because they were taught it was a religion of peace
and they raise bats against people armed to the teth
Theres no way they "couldn't have known" it was just wilfull ignorance that got them killed
and they believe islam is the religion of peace.
lol
I agree
```I guess but, ignorance really doesn't excuse anyone?``` THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD
DOES THAT COUNT FOR NOTHING?
I'm sure even when they arrived in arabia there people told them "Dude be careful cuz theres bad people out there"
And they didn't listen either
they did do something bad though
D: <
In what culture is "I will kill you and your son with a projectile weapon" good manners.
New Zealand, I think?
Maybe Portugal.
Yeah, I feel bad for those bikers too. Like obviously they were idiots for taking such a big risk, but it still sucks
In other words: Who gives a shit about culture.
being nonmuslim in a muslim country
#1 crime
haha
So you're... looking at it through a lens of corruption?
I believe being an apostate is worse
In Twitter culture thats good manners
to threaten people
*We're* not corrupt assholes.
Westerners tend to use a lens of western culture when looking at other places
Why are we giving that perspective this kinda oxygen?
leaving islam is a greater crime than not currently being muslim
yeah
Nah, people (of all places) tend to use their own culture whilst looking at places
it's really bad, it's hanging all over
not just westerners using western culture
