If you aren't under subpoena talking to them is stupid.
And he already gave a statement.
The thing is, if Judge does what his lawyer will recommend and refuses to give an interview then it'll look like he's hiding something. But they have no legal authority to compel him to give an interview because there is no subpoena or grounds for getting one because there is no probable cause.
So Judge either has to stick his neck out for Kavanaugh or look like a fucking rapist.
