I can understand how the leotard look probably wouldn't look too good on film, and the breast armor is a bit much, but they could've done something that didn't look more like a pilot jumpsuit

But really, they're not Norse gods, they're aliens. The Norse mythos was based on them, so I don't care much about that. As long as they admit they're fine with appropriating the culture of others for their own means/artistic expression.
