And she's the girl on the podcasts
I miss Tim's subverse podcasts with Emily
Tim knows girls?
social equity is an attempt to create equality of outcome, which is absurd given that people are all different
which is especially funny when tim advocates for people to figure out their own shit and not just do what they're told and expect handouts, but you're using that as a defense of his support of social justice
I agree with him on too many things to not assume he has a bad definition of social justice until I find out from him specifically, which now I can watch his video and see what "social justice becoming too extreme" is to him.
@oprahsminge Girl on the left
"can social justice go too far" not thinking that it went too far like 5 years ago is one of my top reasons for my belief that he's got a bad definition.
"social justice is a good thing when it creates equality of opportunity"
@Abel quote from early in his recent video, directly refuting your equity argument.
Not really
Tim and Emily look like siblings
yeah the intro of this new video literally refutes the things you said
He actually seems to agree with me
I said social equity meant promoting equal acceptance
***words mean things***
Leading to equality of opportunity
He's probably grooming her. GOTEM
Good, Social Justice
Bad social justice is where you compel people to consider everyone equal
Legally, or by mob justice
hmm the 13th amendment failed the first time it was brought to the house because the democrats voted it out
a year later the republicans had a majority in both houses and managed to get it through
```eq·ui·ty
noun
noun: equity
1.
the quality of being fair and impartial.```
This is literally the opposite of everything social justice advocates for
on a second vote
they advocate for discrimination in favor of certain groups
and LITERAL SEGREGATION in some cases
Yep
Bad Social justice
Where it doesn't lead to equality, it simply leads to more division
A particularly good example is the Evergreen Fiasco
you guffaw'd my christianity argument, but the crusades were still done by christians, the bad social justice is still social justice and it's still the dominant form of social justice
it's still the one that went to the UN to argue that video games are horrible and sexist and need to be changed to include more non-gamers
Probably. which is why I don't call myself a social justice advocate anymore
dayum democrats... "In 1864, an amendment abolishing slavery passed the U.S. Senate but died in the House as Democrats rallied in the name of states’ rights. The election of 1864 brought Lincoln back to the White Housealong withsignificant Republican majorities in both houses, so it appeared the amendment was headed for passage when the new Congress convened in March 1865. Lincoln preferred that the amendment receive bipartisan support–some Democrats indicated support for the measure, but many still resisted. The amendment passed 119 to 56, seven votes above the necessary two-thirds majority."
Just like how I don't call myself a feminist anymore
Which ***is why i said i believe he has an incorrect defintion of social justice and requested disprovement***
disprovement?
is that a word?
hm...
Social equity. He's not wrong here
You are conflating the tactics of radicals with the entire concept of social justice
