Same woman.

2018-10-01 23:39:11 UTC

Clearly you guys have no taste in comics considering she's a professional who's made comics for Marvel

2018-10-01 23:39:15 UTC

"Feed me ham. All of it."

2018-10-01 23:43:48 UTC

What's the deal with american cartoon art style these days? The weird adventure time/Steven universe art was fine when it was a novelty, but its pretty wide spread now.

2018-10-01 23:44:23 UTC

It's a warning sign for normal people to stay away.

2018-10-01 23:44:31 UTC

Is it a cost thing?

2018-10-01 23:44:32 UTC

It's easy to draw which means it's cheap to make, and they can hire unskilled workers(and really there aren't skilled animators in cartooning any more)

2018-10-01 23:44:36 UTC

o wait

2018-10-01 23:44:41 UTC

Thought you meant the hair.

2018-10-01 23:45:05 UTC

I've heard it referred to as "Cal Arts" style

2018-10-01 23:45:29 UTC

@Scribblehatch she looks more uggoo corrupted by sjw ideology

2018-10-01 23:45:48 UTC

Yeah there's no skill in american animation now.

2018-10-01 23:45:53 UTC

We don't train.

2018-10-01 23:46:01 UTC

I kind of doubt it that scientists would look at the person's name in a report and be like so it is written by a girl I should not use this

2018-10-01 23:46:05 UTC

The Cal Arts style is just defined as whatever is the most popular and most marketable shit being churned out

2018-10-01 23:46:05 UTC

Any skilled animator is a fluke.

2018-10-01 23:46:05 UTC

I wouldn't say that

2018-10-01 23:46:16 UTC

American 3d animation is really great

2018-10-01 23:46:24 UTC

The fact that the art style all seems to be consolidating makes it seems like there is one entity behind all these changes.

2018-10-01 23:46:25 UTC

😐

2018-10-01 23:46:31 UTC

PIxar, Dreamworks, Disney

2018-10-01 23:46:40 UTC

We're not counting 3d.

2018-10-01 23:46:46 UTC

Racist

2018-10-01 23:46:54 UTC

Ableist

2018-10-01 23:47:03 UTC

Isn't that place known for their abstract art

2018-10-01 23:47:14 UTC

Where everything is so surreal

2018-10-01 23:47:18 UTC

I feel like even if the art wasn't complex I used to see more variety though. Or is that just my imagination?

2018-10-01 23:47:20 UTC

See, I have an axiom I follow

2018-10-01 23:47:29 UTC

Nah, we're just in a shitty place for cartoons right now. You can see the same conformity of rubber hose animation in the 30's(although the animation WAS much better and creative)

2018-10-01 23:47:33 UTC

If someone ends up promoting their diversity

2018-10-01 23:47:44 UTC

That product isn't going to be good

2018-10-01 23:47:45 UTC

Look how amazing cartoons for even shovelware shows looked in the 80s

2018-10-01 23:48:00 UTC

Y'see. People in general used to be paid enough to live, and start a family.

2018-10-01 23:48:07 UTC

It used to be Job = You're good.

2018-10-01 23:48:08 UTC

Becuae if it was, it wouldn't matter who made the product

2018-10-01 23:48:21 UTC

Now it's Job = What are you, entitled? Get another.

2018-10-01 23:48:30 UTC

It's just a matter of Adventure Time being novel for its time and exploding in popularity and then every studio copying that

2018-10-01 23:48:40 UTC

Yeah Adventure Time looked fine

2018-10-01 23:48:43 UTC

I actually like Bojack horseman

2018-10-01 23:48:55 UTC

It looked vibrant and weird

2018-10-01 23:49:08 UTC

But now it's like everything looks like shit and if you don't like it you're a toxic male
