@Khanclansith My mother doesn't know whether to be horrified or proud of my interest in firearms, and either way it mostly doesn't matter here in Canada, because even if you go to the trouble of getting a PAL, there's a good chance that any firearm you buy could become restricted or prohibited at any time, and even if it doesn't, you probably can't find a gun club or range willing to take you within any reasonable distance. If you want a (_gasp!_) handgun, or a rifle which is scary and black in just the wrong way, you'll need an RPAL, which means forfeiting your chartered protections against unwarranted search.
