Try starting in the middle with the key facts you need to include and then write some kind of boring introduction.

2018-10-06 12:24:00 UTC

"OLEDs are a fascinating new technology that ______" and then just spill out everything you want to talk about.

2018-10-06 12:24:16 UTC

If you're engineering or physical science, no one cares *that* much.

@Timcast Thought you'd find this interesting

if you are posting graphs, you might want to post the source as well, anyone can make a graph

2018-10-06 13:08:00 UTC

hahahaha

2018-10-06 13:08:05 UTC

where is that from

2018-10-06 13:08:32 UTC

If it’s true it shows how much republicans are always lagging behind.

2018-10-06 13:08:47 UTC

Or who the true party of tolerance is.

2018-10-06 13:10:05 UTC

It's a good book

@Abel accurate af

2018-10-06 13:16:46 UTC

makes one wonder if such levels of hatred are two party system thing, i would guess it plays huge part

2018-10-06 13:17:28 UTC

Well of course

2018-10-06 13:17:37 UTC

The hate is concentrated into two streams

I fixed that rape propaganda piece

2018-10-06 13:29:28 UTC

using data from a WaPo fact checker

2018-10-06 13:30:01 UTC

actualy

2018-10-06 13:30:03 UTC

I fucked up

2018-10-06 13:30:31 UTC

@Abel One interesting point: The divergence appears to have occurred right around 2000. There's a question if this is due to the Bill Clinton Impeachment proceedings or simply the election of Bush.

I can say that I distinctly remember a level of unprecedented hatred as the Bush presidency progressed. You can still smell it on this server.

2018-10-06 13:31:05 UTC

@Timcast Doesn't the rate of false accusations go up to 40%?

2018-10-06 13:31:08 UTC

its using a higher estimate from their data on false accusations tho

2018-10-06 13:31:09 UTC

no

2018-10-06 13:31:19 UTC

according to a couple different sources its between 2-10 percent

2018-10-06 13:31:26 UTC

the only data actually studied said 7%

2018-10-06 13:31:43 UTC

this chart uses 10% of reported cases

2018-10-06 13:31:46 UTC

high end

2018-10-06 13:31:48 UTC

So something around the 10% mark seems accurate.

2018-10-06 13:32:04 UTC

When you get to the 5%-10% range statistical noise becomes nasty.

2018-10-06 13:32:26 UTC

But yeah, that is kinda deceptive if the data provided says 7% and the chart uses 10%.

2018-10-06 13:32:30 UTC

this is what went viral

2018-10-06 13:32:33 UTC

total fake news

2018-10-06 13:32:41 UTC

That's really bad.

2018-10-06 13:32:46 UTC

the creator made a graph of 1000 men

2018-10-06 13:32:59 UTC

but then the % were bsaed on 100

2018-10-06 13:33:07 UTC

so she cut a full order of magnitude from the actual visual

2018-10-06 13:33:15 UTC

Do you know the source of the viral graphic?
