Names have been redacted to protect the innocent.
*clank clank*
I think I confused muh law and order for dragnet...
lol his guilt or innocence is inconsequential
Begging the question.
"Look, I may be wrong, but.."
This is a fallacy. The meme is shitty, because it assumes the truthfulness in the second part, thereby making a false equivalence.
"Look, I AM wrong, but..."
it's worse than that, question begging is inherent to the antikav position in general
this is just abandonment of the initial argument but not the position lol
I may be wrong but god dammit I won't be friends with you if I am!
"he may be innocent but we should ruin him anyway"
It was hers to deal with as she saw fit? Yes, until she started accusing a man.
To show we care. 🌈
This continuous equivalency making is driving me mad.
It's all a bunch of emotional reasoning.
Right?
"Believe women" "look at her tears!" "it was the trauma"
Can't rule out coaching.
It reminds me of that dumb female reporter on the Simpsons who says "Your tears say more than words could."
"It's about the examples set by his appointment."
Yes, that is one of the few true things, actually.
It is about collectivism.
I was honestly expecting it in 10 seconds or less after I linked them.
That is why our political discourse increasingly breaks down along gender lines, because they want to make it about women vs. men.
MOre and more independent journalists are finally cluing in to this, too.
not just that.
It's all IdPol.
But too many still get emotional over the fact that people would piont it out.
People get defensive as soon as you point out how gendered our political discourse has become.
It's not just Men vs. Women, they want it to be Gay vs Straight, Cis vs Trans, Christian vs. NonChristian.
just saying
I trust a man named Halfthink.
I will state it clearly, though, and I will say what is true:
Many of our starkest divides have been breaking down along gender lines.
Everyone can see it, most deny it.
Identity politics violates the law of identity.
Halfthink: Now with 75% less Doublethink.
I gueess.
It's true I suppose: they swap in and out a few victimhood groups.
Grievance politics.
OMFG, that thread is cringe.
