Workers are forced to pretend that this organization will have their back if things go sour, when in reality it's likely that they'll be thrown under the bus, if it benefits a "collective" negotiation with a major employer.

Before reading WA I-1639, I had no idea a piece of firearms legislation could have a plausible chilling effect on people's willingness to seek professional mental health assistance.

You are now aware that several states already introduced legislation like that allowing them to confiscate firearms if you are deemed a "danger".
This one gives the state not just a right, but a _mandate_ to search your _medical records_ periodically.
and being denied a search of your medical records is grounds for confiscation.
And makes it a precondition of being permitted to possess a firearm, that you sign a waiver that says you will not sue the state for the unconstitutionality of the legislation. AFAICT
