I don't trust government but I don't trust big corporations either is that so crazy?
Ey, no worries. You'll come around eventually.
no i wont
lol
because the label sounds fuckin dumb
All a government really is is a corporation with a functional monopoly on violence.
I generally distrust any massive structure of authority or power; that's just a reasonable thing to do.
There. My Twitter's name is NinjaLite and I have added the shit.
Professional Shitposter, Otaku who hates everyone equally, and politically incorrect.
Don't you think all form of heavy government regulation like firearms amounts to the belief that the dumb plebs can't be trusted not to hurt themselves with their freedom?
am i to understand you didn't post "I identify as a 50's ish republican woman"? @Braydon
Ok. I'll add that.
hawt
lmao
@LEER Some of it is with good intention, but so is the road to hell paved with such
@Braydon ur mentions are going to be filled with a bunch of dudes in their 60's who are divorced and feminists calling you a servant of the patriarchy
Done
so i googled "patriotic boobs"
because of course I did
Did you find some Iowa-Class tiddies?
put it in shitposting
@ArdBoy the road of good intentions thing is easy to say, but do you not have good intentions too?
Well, that's the thing. You need to recognize that, in many cases, people who call for these things are scared, frustrated, or genuinely beleive they will make a positive change.
But beleif and reality are not always congruent
Do Americans.... not understand the purpose of the structure of the senate and the electoral college?
When an action's intent is to foster a good end, but it's result is the inverse, it is not by act of malice, but of ignorance.
@xorgy Most Americans, sadly, couldn't manage to pass a basic civics course.
Blame a genuinely awful education system.
A passing grade for civics should be 100%
But yeah, the way I tend to be able to make headway on political stuff like this is by being painfully reasonable, respecting and recognizing that a person's frustrations are valid, but that we disagree on how to resolve the frustration.
At least in germany the education system is not the problem, it's that people don't care...
Leaving _middle_ school with an incomplete or incorrect understanding of the basic structure of the federal government should not be possible.
TBH, I think the US political system could probably be solved by one modification
Runoff Voting.
runoff voting at what level?
Yes.
Runoff voting for senators?
^Retention is an issue
